Post by locoxelbox »

I just saw there has been made a movie on Primo Carnera - "Carnera - The Walking Wountain". Has anybody seen it? Apparently it had it's world premiere on april 22 in Madison Square Garden.
Here is the webpage of the movie: http://www.thewalkingmountain.com/trailer.html

I love the trailor for this. Though Carnera wasn't an atg fighter, or really that special of a fighter, he had one hell of a life, from nothing to top of the world, to the dulldrums of professional rasslin and cheap b-rated movies, back to nothing, alone in his native Sequals as an alcohaulic. Its about time someone stepped up and did a movie on his life; only drawback with the actor who plays Carnera, though, in my opinion, and that he isn't ugly enough  other than that, looks like a good film, I'd watch it.

This is really too much. If there can be a Carnera movie, I absolutely insist on a Foreman movie. Make it happen!!

Great actor, who did a great job, in a great movie. I liked it. It's better than nothing, at least.

"Raging Bull..." - HH

This is the only one of those I saw, but I cannot believe how much praise this garbage dump of a film gets. Occasionally, someone sees it my way, but most people appear to love it. It was wayyyyyyy tooooooo slowwwwwww. I feel the same way about the equally-numbing Rocky I.

Hey Jake LaMotta said the film was 90 percent accurate, so to me that makes it more a better movie than some out there

I would bet that the actor playing Carnera is a tougher hombre than the character he portrays.

I always get a huge tinge of sympathy whenever I see Carnera.

Raging Bull is a masterpiece from one of the best director cinema has known. It's one of the, if not the best performance of DeNiro, back when he was still acting.

You like action-packed movies, watch Gladiator and Teen Wolf 2.
