Amazing if true, but I'll wait and see. I find it hard to believe they wouldn't make full use of the time available until his first scheduled fight, unless his health was dire.

:o :o Wow that was sad to hear :( . Poor Gavin. He must´ve really struggled trying to make it. With result in hand it was a big mistake not to move up in weight a year ago. He could´ve won gold at 64.
I was looking forward to his bouts with Tischenko and Ugas. Hopefully he stays amateur at least to the Europeans se we can see how good he is at the higher weight.

Sad, sad, sad, but I've been saying that since June, when I saw him at the EU championships. He was in a sweatsuit 18 hours a day to even make 64kg.

It really sucks, I was looking forward to seeing how he'd do against Ugas... And I feel for him, he's a really nice guy too.

Loco, he made easy work out of Boris Georgiev at the EU championships. Gerogiev could hardly lay a glove on him all fight.

Can't you gauge how well he'd do against Ugas after seeing how well he did against Georgiev.

Well, I think he'd beat Ugas, who is by no means unbeatable. It's a wide open division now. Ugas, Tischenko, Valentino...
