Frank Eyes Amir Khan

Post by MightyWarrior »

The Standard reports that allegedly has requested videos of the big hitting, Athens bound wonder boy.

Khan's favorite boxer is Ricky Hatton, so I guess that gives Frank an edge over his rivals.

Smooth talking Barry Hearn might give him a run for his money though. 8)

When he turns pro, Khan could be 30-0-0 before he gets a Southern Area title fight if he ends up at the wrong place

Out of interest where do Barry Hearns fighters fight, tv channel wise?

They should get a US based trainer over for the kid when he turns.

I would reccommend Cornelius Boza Edwards - Very underrated.

Hmm... interesting. So does Hearns have any prominent British fighters in his stable?

How is he perceived by Boxing fans?

I see Barry Hearn as a guy who gives it to you straight.

No bullshit, no lies, packages his product well, great salesman.

My favourite UK promoter.

He just promoted the Brodie fight at the weekend.

Sitting next to Chi as the press conference, he said "As you'll see, I am actualy sitting next to the man who appears on the fight posters - which I know is unusual these days." :D

:D :D :D Very funny, but true.

Its about time the promoters who make money whilst continually failing to deliver are ripped the shit out of at every opportunity.

Good on ya Bazza.

That would be a disaster if Khan proves to have real talent....

I don't want him making a 15th defence of a WBU title at any point in his career....

If he fails to sign though he will get ripped to shreds in FW's column every week for the rest of his career....poor lad...

In all honesty though FW would make him shit loads of money so fair play..

depends when he turns pro. If he turns pro after the olympics he'll be nearly 18. He doesn't want a promoter that will rush him...in that respect allegedly may be a good idea. Plus, like it or not, Warren fighter's get hyped alot and sell alot of tickets...mind you if this kid is successful in athens alot of people will be interested...regardless of the promoter.

Of course it has been stated that Barry Hearn's current deal with Sky is soon running out and he's using Hamed as a bargining tool.

Considering, Hearn himself has dismissed Hamed's comeback I not entirely convinced if this is the case.
