Petty question, but why is Miguel Cotto's middle name ("Angel") displayed on his record? The few times I've seen him fight, I've never heard the ring announcer or commentators use it. (Is that a middle name?)
Just curious.
Cotto
Acknowledged, however he is most generally referred to (at least as far as I have ever heard) as just plain old Miguel Cotto. Julio Cesar was obvious - I don't necessarily think so in Miguel's case. My preference would be to see Miguel Angel in the alias. Even his official website lists him as Miguel Cotto.Blue wrote: The 1st & 2nd names are commonly used in Latin America such as Miguel Angel & Julio Cesar.
They are comparable to Billy Joe or Bobby Lee in the Southern US.
