Who is Ron Olver??

Ive wodnered this for a lng time now. The guy who deos the 'old timers section in BN. i get the impression he fought himself once upon a time but cant find his record. I know he's cracking on now in his 80s I think and his health isnt too hot. He seems to have been around for ever but I cant find anything on any of the search engines

Anyone know anything about him?

He was a former assistant editor of BN for decades and does a great job with his old-timers' section.
