That's fine with me Kym. Appreciate it.

Re: The ATG Heavyweight Computerized Tournament: Revisited
Hmm.........who could we throw in there that has some tie to the HW title or claim, and not too many people would bitch about it...
Well, tell you what, I'll look at some of the WW2 contenders when Louis was out in the service, and find a claimer to the championship, how about that? I know Bivins became the Interim champ, but before him there were a few HW claimers.

Harry Bobo, was the Maryland/Ohio HW champion, before losing to Lee Q Muarry.
There's your extra needed HW title claimer.

Cool. Again, much appreciated!
Re: The ATG Heavyweight Computerized Tournament: Revisited
46 matches. Ill break them up into 4 groups.
lll make a thread for each group.
How does that sound mate?

A thread for each group. Doesnt sound too bad. Just make sure, the results get posted in here as well, since this is the official tournament thread.

Are they all randomized, so nothing is impartial?

Hey, what's with all the questions already?HomicideHenry wrote:Are they all randomized, so nothing is impartial?
You went all quiet when it was you who had to do something (remember the excel spreadsheet you DIDN'T send me, young man?)
You let me and Kym worry about whether they need to be randomized, pasteurized or even sodomized.
If we need your help we'll let you know.
Don't worry, you won't have to actually do anything.

Gee, sorry. Just making sure nothing is impartial (ie, Foreman vs Hipp). Least the matches be even, or not made to where certain people will make it to the end and others wont (ie Holmes facing a number of bums to get to the end of the tournament, etc).

You just keep working on that spreadsheet and let me know when it is finished.HomicideHenry wrote:Gee, sorry. Just making sure nothing is impartial (ie, Foreman vs Hipp). Re: The ATG Heavyweight Computerized Tournament: Revisited
The match ups are being devised by our top scientists.
The Adelaide University Physics Department is using a
Pharodynescope to devise the match ups.
In a nutshell they give each fighter a number.
Say 1. for John L Sullivan.
These numbers are then thrown into a generator.
And picked at random. Then they repeat this process
until all fighters are matched.
I shall post the match ups shortly. Just have to defunk
from training. My friend from the physics and mathematics
department is over to assist me.

Re: The ATG Heavyweight Computerized Tournament: Revisited
Why is it that I'd like to believe a University is involved in this? :)
Re: The ATG Heavyweight Computerized Tournament: Revisited
I am best mates with the former head of the
physics club. And the man that is doing a doctorate at
the uni. I have requested his help for this tournament.
Wade SHIELL is the man I have asked for assistance.
You can contact him on his University and Facebook
page and ask him. (He may even have a gaymatchmaker
account ;) ).

Re: The ATG Heavyweight Computerized Tournament: Revisited
Maybe we should put one thread at a time, rather than all four. Complete the first group of matches, then move on to the next ones. It can be like a weekly serial. Just a thought.
Re: The ATG Heavyweight Computerized Tournament: Revisited
Yeah run each group as an isolated mini elimiator
and then pit the winners of that group against the
other winners.
So work our way through each group, until the finals ?

Now you need some one to get a bookie to determine
the odds for each match up.
