It doesn't matter what type of draw Eastman is. Bernard has committed to fighting for another 2 or 3 years (until he's 42), and *HE* isn't much of a draw. If Eastman beats Sendra, don't be surprised if he gets a shot at Hopkins next.
Logically, Hopkins may not have any other options. He has to keep the undisputed title to continue to draw, and he's been good about defending against the mandatory contendors in the last several years (Hakkar was WBC mandatory, Joppy was WBA mandatory by virtue of being their regular "world" champion, and Allen was the IBF mandatory). Next in line is the WBC defense (i.e. Eastman). Who else is there for Hopkins? There's Felix Sturm (WBO #1) who could be an option, but who else? Sam Soliman won't get a shot for a while since "Nard just defended the IBF belt. Masoe will likely be forced to fight Schenk before getting a shot. Jermain Taylor's handlers won't let him get anywhere near Hopkins (or any other middleweight).
Who's left?
If he comprehensively beats DLH, there's little chance at a rematch. There's no one of merit at 168. At 154, most of the contendors are locked up in upcoming fights (Wright-Mosley 2, Phillips-Ouma 2), etc. Travis Simms, Javier Castillejo, and Daniel Santos are less interesting challenges than Eastman, Sturm or Soliman.
Trinidad is locking up with Mayorga and likely won't be looking for another fight with Hopkins for several months afterwards. So, if Eastman (WBC #1) beats Sendra (WBC #14), he should get his opportunity.
