To beat Klitschko you need reach, power and speed (of both hand and foot). Haye has two of these things. Sam Peter nearly beat Wlad and he only has one of them. Of the other guys he has fought since he lost to Brewster the majority have been small and slow, and the rest have been big and slow (and lacking a punch). That, of course, is symptomatic of the state of heavyweight boxing in general, but it also suggests to me that Povetkin and Haye could both give Wlad a real argument. They both have more tools than anyone else he has faced since he last lost.

To beat Wlad one has to put it on him and force him onto the back foot. This is no easy task, but letting him fight from the comfort zone will spell disaster, as he can control the fight all night like that.

He is not good under pressure and it will mean someone taking a chance to actually land sustained punches on him. There is no point looking for single shots against him. He has to be under a barrage and made to work on the back foot. If Haye fights him, this is his only chance in my opinion. Get into his face from the off and give him no time to settle.

However, against Valuev, who is slower, less skilled, and hits less hard than Wlad, Haye was fighting in retreat skittering around the ring and throwing about four shots a round. If he was that negative against Valuev, how is he going to be able to be so aggressive against Wlad? I think that Haye is probably going to try and land one big shot whilst fighting negatively.

And Wlad is very good vs negative fighters because they don't put any kind of pressure on him and he is very patient. He knows he only needs 1 good right hand to land.
Also people prolly don't know, but Wlad's jab when it lands, hits harder than other boxer's power punches. It scores as a jab on compubox but to his opponents it scores like a bomb.

Stop being paranoid and chill out ! my post wasn't aimed at you, it was a response to some guy saying the same old shit about Wlad sucking and Haye going to knock him out.

Haye isn't a negative fighter. He fought negatively against Valuev because the circumstances demanded it. Just as he will fight much more positively against Wlad because the circumstances will demand it. Haye and Adam Booth are smart enough to realise that a repeat of the Valuev performance isn't going to do it against either Klitschko...

What circumstances are you talking about?
Valuev is big and tall, and so is Wlad
Valuev is slow, Wlad is very fast
Valuev has little power and throws mostly arm punches, Wlad has the biggest power in the division and throws every jab with bad intentions.
Valuev is flat footed, Wlad is fleet footed.
Valuev has a rather low workrate, Wlad has now excellent conditioning and can throw 50+ punches per round.
Valuev has a granite chin, Wlad hasn't, but has good defense skills unlike Valuev.

Circumstances will not be the same indeed, they will be aggravated in comparison to Valuev. vs Valuev, Haye actually could easily get inside and land flurries and hurt Valuev, he was much much faster and could have kept working inside and without many risks. He didn't do it. Explain why he would do it vs Wlad who will make it close to impossible to get inside?

Wlad could probably crack Haye's brittle chin with one of his jabs.
