He has a point.Why hasnt he been picked?How do you get international experience if you dont get picked?Obvious questions that need answering.Personally,i have seen enough of the am's to know JG is banging his head against a brick wall.With the John Murray situation,Kerry Kayes thinking of walking away,nobody would blame Joe for packing it in himself

Hosea beat Funded Boxer Ryan Aston today in ABA quarter finals , Hosea dropped Aston in rd 2 with good right hand on way to points win.

Neil Perkins is the one to beat in the abas at middleweight the former worldchampionship medlist ...........theres no way hosea is in perkins class ,theres loads of lads who have won the abas who dont get selected,thats a fact even thoe its wrong it will never change.looks like hosea just had a close win winning by 1 point

Hosea Burton beat Former World bronze medalist Neil Perkins in today National ABA Semi finals .
Burton was 3-0 up after rd 1 8-4 up after rd 2 and won with a score 11-10 which had people scratching there heads as Burton seemed to of won More then the score line suggested. That win comes on the back of his quarter final win against Talented Ryan Aston who is on England team and Funding.

Hosea Burton now Boxes Anthony Ogogo in The ABA final on May 14th and hopes to win back to back titles.

Win or lose how can England or GB selectors not pick him for funding or selection.
Questions have been asked but no one wants to answer them if Burton was with a more popular club there would be questions from sports writers and journalists about this , so why are they not doing so .

It needs highlighting and bringing out into the open what is going on with this lads Olympic dream .

Who remembers Matthew Grainger who won the ABA super heavyweight title three times but was made to fight David Dolan in a box off for a commonwealth games berth. (Dolan had never fought at super heavyweight and it certainly wasn't the weight class where he had his successes) Grainger duly retired. The ABAE (and the rest of them) are full of politicians, wannabe politicians who have their favourites from certain clubs in certain parts of the country. It's all one big mess, the ABAE politicos love sticking the noses in, blackballing fighters from certain clubs and throwing their weight about. No wonder many fighters turn pro or pack it in.

Seems like a bit of a joke, but that's boxing all over. Who's got more info on the situation? Amatuer boxiing doesn't get enough coverage for most people to make a proper judgement.

Does anyone have a list of all the selectors for England? Also who is the kid who is being picked for England at the moment? What's his pedigree? Has this guy not bothered with the aba's?

This needs sorting out.Burton has just beaten one of the best ams we have had in years.The A.B.A were probably licking their lips at the prospect of Perkins taking care of their little problem for them.I am amazed he got the verdict,no matter how easy he won it.

Good win for the kid, i think he'll stop Ogogo now to be honest, he's beat my mate in perkins but you have to give the guy credit as he's done it the hard way and without doubt deserves to be picked or the GB squad..
