Mitchell v Murray
Anyone for Mitchell v Murray?
Dam good fight.
The fight could be made Mitchell boxes on sky so does Murray who is looking for big fights.

Re: Mitchell v Murray
I still fancy Mitchell to outwork Murray, similar to McAllister, but he wont fold as easily.
Re: Mitchell v Murray
who cares anymore?
you'd really have to wait for mitchell to regroup and be on some kind of winning run.
i rate murray higher than mitchell, always have, and i think murray will have his hands full with kudriavtsev, a quality operator and a great learning fight.

Re: Mitchell v Murray
I would like Mitchell to get a couple of wins under his belt first, but then definitely. Great fight. It won't happen though.
Re: Mitchell v Murray
Mitchell needs to regroup try and beat likes of watson at British level before fighting Murray wbo inter titles are meaningless. Murray will win this if they fight!

gavin rees? Limond may get the call? Doesnt he hold the prestigious one? (WBU)
Re: Mitchell v Murray
watson v mitchell if the murray fight dosnt come off
Re: Mitchell v Murray
british boxing isn't about domestic clashes. it's about getting your fighter moved forward before he gets beaten or before someone else takes his place. despite what joe gallagher says about murray, khan and mitchell being the benn, eubank, watson. and this is backed up by the fights that we have been seeing. khan got his chance (incl a 2nd chance). mitchell had his chance. murray is gradually getting there. he has the EBU title and now the next step is a real european level contender, i would think.HomeOfBritishBoxing wrote:who cares anymore? what a daft comment, all british boxing fans would love to see this fight!!Autobarn wrote:who cares anymore?

this is a redundant thread and you might as well lock it, it's so pointless. what does mitchell offer murray, what's in it for murray? i bet, nothing.

Bloody hell, and don't we know it!
Its allright though Autobarn - this is what the forums are for - you stating the painfully obvious still made me chuckle!
PS: Who's to say Murray won't capitulate when facing similar class opposition? The only fighter to step up to world class and thrive is Amir Khan.
Re: Mitchell v Murray
we'll have to see when he gets his chance.
i just don't see the gain in fighting someone who's just been done in 3 rounds. if mitchell had won the interim title, there would have been something in it for murray.
it's like jon thaxton. murray wanted the fight, didn't get it until thaxton had lost twice. i honestly think it's insulting to suddenly start with murray v mitchell threads.
mitchell - would he have ever got his big chances if khan hadn't left warren, anyway?

Re: Mitchell v Murray
you're the one who comes across as inane, with your childish insults.
it's a fvcking stupid thread and has clearly attracted someone of that calibre to this thread.
and no, i don't mean myself.
your posts are about as meaningful and effective as a mitchell shoulder roll.

Re: Mitchell v Murray
This would be an intresting fight, I think Mitchell may take him head on. Katsidis cut off the ring well and Murray is fairly decent at cutting the ring off. I fancy Murray in a close, cracking fight.
Re: Mitchell v Murray
What a sad state of affairs. Someone loses a fight against a world class fighter and we throw him on the scrap heap. No wonder people want to fight bums and pad out their records.Autobarn wrote:who cares anymore?

Re: Mitchell v Murray
I would want to see this fight. Mitchell could do with an interim fight against someone decent but beatable, just to get his confidence up again, but really they could fight each other next and I think it would be an entertaining scrap. They are both at about the same level for me, which is top Euro level for the most part and fringe world level on a good day.
Re: Mitchell v Murray
i'll say it again. why should murray fight leftovers? this is my main pooint.winkveron wrote:What a sad state of affairs. murray is far too hard a fight for mitchell after getting just knocked out.
we have to be realistic.

Re: Mitchell v Murray
More chance of this happening than Murray vs Katsidis
Re: Mitchell v Murray
right, anyway. you've taken the mitchell defeat badly and you don't like me bringing up various stupidly optimistic mitchell is world class posts, just after the fight. you feel it is tactless and in bad taste. but i make valid points, backing them up with substance. if you want to keep on throwing insults, then there's no point arguing with you on normal terms, there's no point addressing you with respect...Coffee Aroma wrote:Autobarn wrote:you're the one who comes across as inane, with your childish insults.

you sound pretty sure mitchell will bounce back, but i'm sure you will calm down and settle for less. you will have to.
cheers c_unt
thanks wanker
Re: Mitchell v Murray
This would be a great domestic/euro tear-up, both like to bang a bit. I would take Murray as I think he is big at the weight and has a lot of power in those body shots but who knows Mitchell is pretty skilful at his level and may be able to outbox Murray. Would be a cracker but I agree with people saying this can't happen next, Mitchell has to re-group and try and get back to some level and build back to a euro title shot or something.
Re: Mitchell v Murray
Agree... Khan and Mitchell got their shots lets let Murray have his... if they are going to be a new Benn/Watson/Eubank then fine but as Autobarn says that is not how the other two have been moved. Its not a fight Mitchell should walk into - get smashed in three then get an EBU title fight? that would be another sh1t call in a sport full of themAutobarn wrote:

Murrays people I imagine will try to get him a nice easy defence next but hopefully they have seen what happened the weekend and realised that there are no shortcuts.

Yeah I'm am gutted mitchell lost to a real heavy hitting warrior, who was: without doubt the much better man on the night, but on the up side; he will learn from it and return much stronger, focused and the much better for it, so yes; i will get over it.
But Kev's loss aside i cannot take seriously the steady stream of monotonous, banal and ill informed comments made by: obviously underachieving, cretinous morons!
If you are not of this ilk and feel you have been slighted and judged unjustly; If you feel my opinions are mere conjecture you must: at least admit they have been formed: based on much overwhelming evidence, and therefore must realise the electronic bile you spew puts you right in the reticule And with such a tempting target i just gotta sqeeze off a shot
