Young Snowball KO'D Carpentier in the 14th rnd and claimed M Descamps threw in the sponge when the Ref called 'out'
He also stated in an article in Boxing July 1912 that his career was over due to a diseased bone, so im not to sure about the remainder of this record.
Another Young Snowball????
http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=032235
Is he listed with boxers who fought their managers - Tommy Farr 1926
It would make him 50 or 60 when he beat Tommy Green in 1936 ???
Correction to Young Snowball's Record

I believe Snowball/Broadribb stopped Carpentier in the 4th round not the 14th.
Snowball/Broadribb did not fight Tommy Farr. Tommy Farr would have been a 13 year old boy in 1926 (yes, I know he started his paid career young) and Broadribb would have been 38 years old. Broadribb states in his autobiography that he met Tommy Farr for the first time in 1934.
That is not Snowball/Broadribb who fought Tommy Green in 1936.

Young Snowball
Snowball's own words-
'I put him (Carpentier) down five times in all, and knocked him out in the 14th round, though M Descamps threw up the sponge as soon as the "out" was called.

OK, I've just looked at the article you mention and yes, it does say the 14th round. However, I think that may be a typo.
I've always believed this fight to have ended in the 4th round.
I just checked the report of the fight in "Boxing" from 1910 and it has the 4th round.
Ted Broadribb/Young Snowball's autobiography has the 4th round.
Cyberboxingzone, which I trust a bit more for old-time records, has the 4th round.

I see Boxrec has the 14th round. Have you amended it to be the 14th or has it always said this?
Gherardo Bonini has some extensive resources of this period. Maybe he has an opinion if he reads this.
