Small should be very careful because the more he protests, the more he abuses soldiers returning home, one day he may just indeed touch a nerve with the wrong individual & who knows what would happen then? People's emotions are running high & very deep in respect of the Soldiers!

Small has every right to say what he wishes, he is obviously a very troubled, lonely individual who has been led astray by someone filling his gullible head with nonsense. For me though there is a line between freedom of speech and provocation/breach of the peace. Those protesters were treading that line VERY finely. They are lucky they live in a very open and tolerant country. If we were a slightly less tolerant country, they would be arrested and tried for those sorts of protests.

As a professional boxer he has a duty to his own career to tread carfully in what he says and to not provoke anger from the good people of this country, the same people who go to his shows. Unfortunately that is what he has now done. He won't get any future work now in UK/America, so well done Small, you just committed career suicide.

The worrying thing for me is that headcases like Small have the perfect profile of the type of people who then go on to do something truly misjudged, like try and set off a bomb somewhere or something equally mental in 'protest'. He has just thrown away a career in boxing, making a further martyr of himself so he might now feel he has nothing left to lose and do something really daft. I hope I am of course wrong but this guy is a truly strange character.

small was abysmal anyway in his last 2 fights. he may have some speed but he's never been very good, and if you ask me he was offensive before he came out with any of this political stuff with his gibbering and his showing off.

soldiers who have just come back having served in a controversial war are easy targets, and whether you agree with the conflict or not, they were more likely to be taking orders than giving. it's not like the soldiers necessarily all signed up just so they could do some "crusading" and what ppl like small are doing is simplifying things and generalising all soldiers as one type.

Small is entitled to his opinion, and for all the 'THEY ARE HEROES' there are people from other parts of the world that are dead also and the Afghan/Iraqi or whoever they were have family and friends that grieve for them just as the soldoiers have their families and friends here.
