I dont think froch deserves to be as low as fourth when you look at who he's fought! He beat pascal who's now the king at light-heavyweight after beating dawson and he beat dirrell who completely schooled abraham.

Hatton, Witter and Nicky Cook havent had fights in well over a year.

Barker & McCloskey should be ahead of Lindsay and McDonnell.

John Duddu not even top 50.

Hatton shouldn't even be ranked as he hasn't fought since May 2009.

Harrison is too high he should switch to be behind booth and Magee. Brook is also too high should be in the mid twenties of that list

Ricky Hatton has to start dropping places big time. McCloskey should be higher than the likes of McDonnell, Lindsay, M.Hatton and Brook.

Good work Horse. :TU:

Why are people plaing Brook so high in p4p lists he has not beaten anyone of note so far his best was the pole last time out who was nothin special. Though he holds the Lonsdale and in wbo mandatory he has not fought anyone of note yet. There are much more proven fighters below him

I don't move boxers up the rankings after a loss, so I couldn't move Froch up the rankings after his fight with Kessler.

If Froch beats Abraham then it will be likely that he becomes the Number 1. If he doesn't beat Abraham then I will have to wait until his next win to move him up the rankings.

Yes, they have all been inactive for over a year.
robpalmer135 wrote:Barker & McCloskey should be ahead of Lindsay and McDonnell.
If Barker and McCloskey win their next fights then they will overtake Lindsay and McDonnell.

Duddy has some good wins over the likes of Bonsante, Eastman, Vanda and Medina. So, I think his current ranking is okay.

If Magee and Booth win their fights this month then they will both go above Harrison.

If Brook loses to Jennings then he will fall quite a few places. If his fight is cancelled then I will aim to have Brook overtaken by other fighters as quickly as is reasonable, as Brook is quite a few places too high based on his level of opposition.

BBC have Brook at #5

I've got to say, his slate is shockingly bad for a holder of a Lonsdale outright.... he's probably beaten one top 5 domestic welter so far, perhaps 2.

Plenty of BS stoppages, and a joke opponent in Bienias last time out, even then he took ages to get rid of him.

Jennings is going to tool him I think.

Froch being below Hatton makes that difficult at the moment. If Froch loses to Abraham then I might have to start aiming to have Hatton drop at a faster rate even if that means Froch has to fall with him.
Deno1986 wrote:McCloskey should be higher than the likes of McDonnell, Lindsay, M.Hatton and Brook.
McCloskey's opposition level hasn't been as high as it should have been in the last 18 months or so. Lindsay's recent opposition hasn't been any better, so I won't argue too much about him. However, I think that McDonnell's recent record is better, and Hatton's recent record is significantly better, than McCloskey's and I feel they deserve to be above him at the moment.

If McCloskey beats Morrison in October then he will probably overtake McDonnell and Lindsay, but he is unlikely to overtake Hatton.

I do consider him to be too highly rated in my list. After he beat Bienias I decided to move him up quite a few places to put him above Woods, which I feel was probably a mistake as Bienias doesn't really seem to be very good.

I think Jennings is going to prove a great deal in this fight. Good performer, always fit and smart too.

Kell seems to be a controversial fighter on here by the looks of things! I personally rate him and think he'll do a number on Jennings (as long as either one of them doesn't pull out) not as much as cotto, but comprehensively none the less. I don't know whether any of you guys remember it, but Boxing Monthly did a piece with all the main British promoters towards the end of last year and each was asked - if you could have any other British fighter that is not signed with you, who would it be? More or less all of them said Kell Brook. He's in a tough division, but given time, experience and staying away from nightclub fights I think he'll do well.

Yes, it is not an ideal situation. I believe the Froch situation is the biggest problem I have had with my policy of only moving a fighter up after a win.
