*yawn*
is that your best stuff lirva?
That's not Lirva, unless he has moved to another country.
Yeah, he's still suspect though mate. Joined tonight, almost every post a wind up job.
glad that an exciting fight happened - not many of burns' fights are.
don't think he deserved his shot, and he beat a limited, prescott style champ (one shot at a time). he won't be a champ for long, but he did better than nicky cook.

Just a fantastic win after a nightmare start, just shows how a home crowd can lift a fighter to a whole new level ( how would it have turned out in Puerto Rico?? ) terrific win, really hope Ricky Burns can make a few money earning defences now, he really deserves it.

ricky may have not deserved the fight but he fought exceptionally I was out of my seat cheering him on. Who knows what ge can achieve I know one thing me or you can't say we are a world champion so give him credit!
cant believe sum ppl r slagging off ricky burns, hes just put in a huge effort and is a genuine world champ - excellent for boxing in scotland/britain - well done ricky

I'm so unfit I had to dig deep to WATCH the last three rounds!
I had a lot of money on Burns to beat Johanneson because I knew Carl was very, very ropey and was seething when Burns didn't have the tools to pull it off. I knew he'd improved a lot but tonight was something else.
When was the last time us English buzzed off a Scottish victory?
Haha i"m just buzzing from looking at this thread - didn't watch the fight but no way did i expect Burns to win. What a great victory over a guy who was being touted for bigger things. I'm English but I'll savour this Scottish victory too! Well done Ricky.
