Great fight and well done to Ricky Burns. What a start to the boxing season, really got the juices going, jump out of your seat and scream stuff. Burns was amazing. Martinez is a true warrior.

Absolutely brilliant perforance by Burns. I really didn't see him pulling off the win like that, especially after the first. It was the way he won that impressed me, he didn't just stay on the back foot and try and pick Martinez off. He took the fight to him hurt him a few times, which again I didn't think he was capable of.

I've got so much respect for him after that.

Ricky was fantastic last night. Went way above what I thought he had. Great night for him and the Scottish fight game. Also good to see Appleby and Arthur back with wins. Poor old John Simpson though. He never gets a break. He can't even get a close decision in his backyard. If he gets a rematch with Smith in Liverpool he'll have to knock him out or he has no chance.
