The Shane fight IMO says that Hearns would easily KO him. Floyd wouldn't see those bombs coming like he did with Shane. Hearns was faster stronger, bigger, and a better boxer than Shane. The only advantage Shane has over Hearns is a chin giving Mayweather a punchers chance which isn't alot. Hearns is hands down probably top 3 hardest punchers at Welter EVER. For me to believe Mayweather would've stood up to those shots, he would've took Shane's flush shots like he was Marvin Hagler. Just a bad nightmarish matchup for Floyd and anyone else not named Hagler or Leonard, two very big welters.

Hagler was never a welterweight, only ever a middeweight. Over his whole career his weight was always in the 155lb-163lb range. When he fought Hearns it was at middleweight.

Floyd beats Kalule by decision. Hearns by decision if not knock out, Hearns had a shaky chin. Benitez by decision if not knockout. Duran by close decision. Leonard? cant even tell u that. very close.

Leonard is just too good for Mayweather - for me this is a clear UD or late TKO by Leonard.
Hearns is just too powerful for Mayweather - Hearns destroys Mayweather in around 3 or 4 rounds the most.
Duran wins by outworking Mayweather - Duran by clear UD
Benitez and Mayweather are 50/50. No clear winner here either way.
Kalule is just simply a level below all the others. I think Mayweather wins this one.

I think Kalule is on that list because that is the only possible fight that Mayweather would sign for. As for the others I found it hard to believe that Mayweather would've signed for.

As for the original question I would say both Leonard and Hearns beat Mayweather, too big, powerful and skilled and every bit as fast as Floyd. I'm sure Floyd would have his moments. Anyone saying Hearns' chin would be an issue in this fight is really clutching at straws.

Mayweather/Duran is a great clash of styles might get a trilogy out of it.

I've not seen enough of Kalule to pick a winner (incidentally I think a lot of people in the same boat are pick Floyd automatically in this one)

Kalule is a terrible matchup for Floyd at 154 or god forbid 160, a much better fighter before weight issues got to him than the old DLH and Mosley's Floyd has made his name on at this weight.If i was to pick a famous widely considered great fighter he could realistically fight;one that would make the African look like a master, it would be Floyd.

It's funny you are right in saying a lot of people would pick Floyd automatically without having seen much of kalule, but imo it's fights against certified natural Welterweight all-timers like Leonard and Hearns that are the stupid and not competitive or intriguing fights.The smaller Duran and Benitez i can maybe understand but still, they didn't make their name at this weight on semi-retired old hacks and faded has beens.

That's always the problem with these fantasy match-ups. Just as some people will always pick the older fighter others seem to need to believe that whoever is the marquee name is at a particular weight right now is as good as anyone who has ever fought there.

They are similar in terms of skill level,speed, and mental game. As far as fighting, one acurately throws one punch at a time while the other was one of the fastest combination fighters ever.

Agree. People act as if Hearns had a Zab Judah like chin. He was stopped by Leonard, Hagler and Barkley. Guys who would've stopped Mayweather quicker.
