I think so many people left because for a start, there were too many people

I don't think it is a matter of there being too many Managers, I think it's a matter of the managers not being dedicated enough.

Practically everyone wants to be in the Draft, then when some Managers don't get the top draft pick or anywhere near it, they don't want to play no more. Because they think there is nothing in the Sim for them.

I would not reccomend restricting the number of managers in a season. Because that is the beginning of an elitist attitude.
If you are in, then great!

and secondly, it's been hard to break the top 10, let alone claim the belts.

But that in itself is the challenge of the Sim, I have not had any World Champions yet, so that is the goal for me...
And I'll try again next season, it's all part of the fun.
