Anyone know how much everybody is getting paid for this one? I figure it must be a career-best for Ricky and something pretty special for Kostya too to get him up to Manchester. Odd that you rarely see the purses reported on big fights.

I think Tszyu was getting aound 5 million in American dollar terms, and Hatton was around the 1 / 1.5 million American dollars. This is not fact, I recall reading about it ages ago.

Tostya is getting a guaranteed 4.2 M USD with a small uplift if the PPV in the UK is successful. Hatton is on a smaller amount but with a great uplift if it sells well. Based on what I have heard Ricky will pull seven figures from the fight sterling.

from what i read in a recent article, hatton said only he, his dad and warren knew how much he was making. In the same article it said that the total purse for both fighters was 4million pounds. Its been said that kostyas making 5 million dollars so whats that about 2.5 million quid. So i would imagine hattons taking home a carrer high of about 1.5 million.

Pretty fookin good! When spinks took on Judah in front of 20 odd thousand fans in st louis he took in 1.5 million dollars and zab took somehting ridiculous like 100,000 dollars. Don King must have made a mint that night.

Weird how the purses are very rarely mentioned. Are they actually confidential in the UK?

Wasnt it quoted on Showtime that Zab was only "guaranteed" $20,000. He probably made $100,000 having won the fight but the guarantee is astonishingly low i thought.

I would have thought it would sell very well, it seems to me that this fight has caught everyones eye.
