Not why people are laughing at those who bought the PPV - it was a head clash, it happens..... It was a better fight than Khan vs Barrera.

Looks like my not paying PPV policy is paying dividends.

Not that I could anyway, I canned SKY months ago and havent looked back. No SKY, no Primetime.

Looked as though McCloskey wanted out. Absolutely no protest from what I saw.

Paul could have been given more time. At least the rest of the round.

David Haye's cut against Fragomeni was 10x worse. Yet they let the fight go an extra 3 rounds in which David won by TKO.

whatever the ending of the fight, this was McCloskey's world title fight, but why wasn't he doing more ?

My stream went down presumably just before Hearn had a heart attack.

It was a good stoppage. You can't fight with blood trickling straight into your eye. That's a recipe for brain damage right there.

I have seen many cases where a fighter has continued with a worse cut. McCloskey lost every round, but that shouldn't be a factor in judging wether or not the fight was stopped too early. I thought his corner should have been given a chance to work on the cut.

very odd stoppage. very odd fight. The cut was deep but not dripping in his eye. I have seen far worse cuts with the fighter allowed to continue.

What a load of sh1te...I want my £14.95 back! :OhYes:

Oh dear
lol no red face over there, he is getting paid
Didn't think it was a head clash at the time but

Something tells me he isn't getting paid anyway as the post was very quickly deleted

If he was, I didn't notice. Seemed to me as though the promoter wanted it to continue moreso than his fighter.

Lots of guys fight through cuts or other injuries and do fine. Look at what Morales did with one eye. If McCloskey had been given another round we would know wether or not the cut had a significant impact on his performace.

Why would you buy the PPV? Just stream it from online to your TV. VGA cable, fellas, buy one.

Barry Hearn is right about the cut - Paul Smith, Ricky hatton, Tony Dodson and others all been given much longer in British title fights.

Ridiculous stoppage, Hearn spitting some serious venom in the post fight interview.
