So when did Matchroom put on Carl Froch then? I think you will find that ALL Promoters are running shows at a loss these days. Perhaps if you know the magic formula for running shows and making a profit you should take a licence out and do just that. You make Promoters sound greedy all the time which is so far from the truth. Promoters cannot make any show pay at the moment and that is a fat. Matchroom have never staged a show for Carl Froch PPV or otherwise, Mick Hennessy put the investment into Froch, Froch was the finished article when he jumped ship to Matchroom. You show me a Promoter who makes a decent Profit and I'll show you a liar.smcb80 wrote:that's all the promoter's fault then, for needing to make profit immediately on each show. putting shows on at a loss on non-ppv builds up more of a fan-base, same as matchroom are doing with Froch. Cleverly won't get much of a fanbase going if he's always on PPV - i wouldn't pay on the chance that he may be worth it.
as for this weekend's scraps, i think sky have been advertising the top 3 fights anyway

If all go the distance, 3 hours isn't enough.Livingstone Cole wrote:There's no reason why all 4 shouldn't be shown live, they've all got the potential to be cracking fights.stevek3lly wrote:Its a very good bill and made all the better with the addition of Murray v Mitchell. I expect all 4 big names to be shown in full, not all live though i would say.
