Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
Still no final confirmation, although there's been a lot of comments posted by Dan Rafael and others that it will "probably" be Chisora.

Sauerland has been absurdly slow to officially announce this fight - Dec 3 is only three weeks from now.

Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
Do we know which poor sod Chisora will be beating up in Halifax tomorrow night?
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
chisora career slowly going down the pan
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
It's not his fault people don't want to fight him.
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
I caught Bunceys show last night, I presume it was Mondays repeat... I have to say, and I've never been a big Chisora fan, I thought he came across very, very well.
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
It looks like this fight is on for Dec 3, although for some reason it's still not officially announced. Chisora sounds confident he will beat Helenius.
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
I think it will be another big KO for the Nordic Nightmare, but we shall see. Respect to Chisora for taking such a tough fight (iif the fight has actually been made); he's really up against it here.
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
I see he's lost 20 lbs since the Fury fight. Fair play to him.
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
Still got another 20lbs to lose. He needs to swerve this Helenius fight and come back after Xmas, and stay off the pork pies. He still has a lot to offer, but he needs to get his head down. He he doesn't deserve a big fight after the Fury shocker.Karl Jade wrote:I see he's lost 20 lbs since the Fury fight. Fair play to him.
"My head wasn't right in training"
Don't wash, Del. Being "not right in the head during training" doesn't justify living in KFC. He let a lot of people down in that fight.
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
This fight is now finally confirmed by a Finnish newspaper and by Robert Helenius himself on Facebook.

It will indeed be for the EBU title, Dimitrenko has been stripped.

Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
Helenius will do him
this guy looks the real deal
tall, heavy handed with both hands and decent boxing skills
Chisora looked crap at the weekend no matter what anyone says

Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
Well, he did say he wanted a big fight! He doesn't seem afraid of taking on a challenge, but I think he's up against it here.
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
At a time when heavyweights like Povetkin and Dimitrenko avoid the best opponents, it's good to see that Chisora is willing to fight the strongest in his division.magnus wrote:Well, he did say he wanted a big fight! Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
Chisora has NO chance. He still is 20lbs TOO big. Kudos to him for losing a stone and half, but he needs more against these better fighters. He's also just posted he's had a Nando's. Maybe he just had a normal chicken, but I do doubt that.
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
Why on earth would he want to get down to 220? Stupid comment.

Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
seems a good fight to prove Helenius is the real deal with a conclusive knockout.
So why do I get the sinking feeling that it will end up a trademark 21st century heavyweight 12 round borefest?

Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
Helenious is the consummate professional, father of two, very well known and respected in Helsinki - a superstar in fact.
He has shifted 7,000+ tickets without even a named opponent.
Chisora, if your reading this or any of your gym mates - if you take Helenious lightly for a single day of your entire training camp then you will get splattered all over the ring and your career is finished.
Warren lost the Fury purse bid and had already thrown him into the lion's den for the Klitschko fight and thus it's obvious he's not overly arsed about his chances of being a huge success in the division.
I wish Del Boy the best, but I think he's simply too immature. Slapping his GF, biting a journeyman's for christ's sake. He needs to stop being a cocky spoilt bully and man the eff up. Whip that lardy butt into shape and most importantly: Focus.
Helenious is too proud and works too hard to let this one slip in front of his home crowd. His prep will be spot on and he'll be ready for it.

Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
Funnily enough I was discussing this with a Finnish friend today and he showed me the below link. It is a very good match up and I hope Delboy is in good shape - I think there will be four heavyweight fights on this card.

Full credit to Chisora for looking to fight the best. We'll see how much he's learned from the Fury defeat.

Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
I've gone for Helenius by decision, but it is dependent on what weight Chisora comes it at.
If Chisora comes in weighing the same as a Brachiosaurus, then he might even get stopped. If he decides to train properly & decides to come weighing the same as a man, then he'll certainly be sharper, but I'd still pick Helenius to come out on top.

Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
He was 241 a week ago. I highly doubt he'll come in anything above a sensible weight.
I'd say 245 is probably his ideal weight.

Lets hope so, although I do feel that a man of his height could easily lose another 15lbs.Karl Jade wrote:He was 241 a week ago. I highly doubt he'll come in anything above a sensible weight.

Saying that, he must realise that Helenius will be his greatest opponent to date & that should inspire him to get into proper shape.
Flipside, I could have said that same thing about Fury a few months ago & he didn't bother to get into shape for the Fury fight.
Re: Dereck Chisora vs. Robert Helenius on Dec 3
In this article, Helenius says Chisora is dangerous but he will eventually "catch" Chisora.
And Chisora says he will KO Helenius.
