All sky content is updated via satellite.

It's only if you have 2 boxes, they want phone lines connected to them. So they can dial in and check they are both on same line.

Sometimes 2 apartments get a box each and split the bill, pretending it's one dwelling. Also pubs who need a special (and expensive) public licence for the system that's behind the bar.

You can always tell if a pub is illegally showing stuff on sky, because there should be a little pint pot in the corner of the screen.
Well, the football isn't illegal to show anymore following the court case...
The actual football might not be, but all the presentation and graphics are. And given the way the feed is provided by Sky, you don't generally get the football without the graphics.

Ive made up my mind on this one and i have no problem with FW and i think he has been great for the sport on the whole despite what many people are saying.

However taking a sport which has already become a niche sport and putting it on a dedicated channel can only damage the sport further. All the young stars like degale and groves will be hidden away, its only a matter of time until they crave the spot light and head back to sky; like froch.

Its a shame because i would have really liked to watch alot of the FW fighters but why help damage something you love.

AND why should i have to pay even more to follow the sport? Especially binding myself into a 6 month contract.

Thanks, I always wondered why they wanted the phone line connected and thought it would block the service in some way if I didn't do it.

That's interesting about two apartments sharing multi-room lol

Taken from allegedly website:

"Q: Can I get allegedly on multi-room?

A: Yes, Simply follow our subscription process for all viewing card numbers that you would like activated to allegedly & take out a new subscription for each card."

Huh? So, in order to be able to watch allegedly on my 2 TVs I need 2 separate subscriptions? Shambolic. And to mention this now AFTER I have registered and paid? I pay one multiroom fee to watch my entire sky package on either of my Sky+ boxes, yet I'm restricted to watching allegedly through only one box?

That is bollocks. Don't blame you fuming there.

BN's foray into PPV is seeming very half-baked.

Half Baked? It's not even come out of the wrapper, let alone been anywhere near the kitchen.

Doesn't bode too well for the delivery over the next 6 months, but at least I'll be able to watch Cleverly - Maccarinelli and Burns - Arthur and Bunce will call me a real fan (so long as I'm in the right room...in fact, does that mean I'm only a real fan when I'm watching in the lounge but I'm a faker when I'm not watching in my bedroom?)

Just looking for clarification on this.

I'd say No. How can you call yourself a real fan if you aren't prepared to contribute to the pension fund of Britains Greatest Promoter? In fact, I'm thinking of setting up a TV in the shed just so I can go the whole hog and have 3 subscriptions. That would surely make me some kind of uber-fan and worthy of a weekly guest spot on the Bunce Hour?

Yes you pay 5 monthly installments of £10 and then on the 6th month they don't take any money. After that you are able to cancel the subscription if you like.

I have just signed up despite vowing not to to when then channel was announced! I have really enjoyed watching virtually every show they have put on and especially seeing all the undercard fights that you never would have seen before. I know people are complaing about the money, but it's £10 a month, which is only £2.50 a week. You can't even buy a pint for that these days.

I must add though that I went to Dave Coldwell's show on Saturday in Rotherham and these are the sort of shows that they need to start picking up if they are hoping of getting big subscriptions.

I think that it would be a good move by all concerned as the smaller promoters will want the most exposure and allegedly will want as many shows on as possible. There are a few smaller promoters putting on good shows regularly with good fighters and Coldwell had 8 fights on his bill Saturday including David Barnes, Ryan Rhodes and Curtis Woodhouse.

Surely this has to be the way forward?

Buncey - before i read this thread, i was quite a big fan of yours.

So i was gutted by the aggressive, threatening ('it would be nice to see you at a show') and bullying tone you used towards a very good man in Ian McNeilly. On a public forum, too! It was unprovoked, unjustified and completely unprofessional. You've revealed a compltely different side to your personality.

It also casts you in a very poor light that you ganged-up on Ian with old Two-Face himself - Boxingchat/Jabnmove.

I suspect that you know exactly why Ian has a problem with certain individuals employed within the trade of boxing promotion. You also know, i suspect, that anything Ian could raise in public defence to the abuse he has received on here from yourself and another would likely land him in hot water, and effectively gagged by not wishing to involve himself in massively expensive legal proceedings.

So in my opinion, you Buncey - as a journalist and a recognisable 'face' of Box N ation- should be ashamed of yourself for your conduct on here.
I think Buncey was insinuating that Ian didn't attend many shows not that he was going to gazelle punch him next time he saw him... might be wrong though. I've seen Ian at a show before. I was tempted to gazelle punch him but I decided not to.

Well I think Buncey was deliberately ambiguous so the inference could be drawn that he would welcome a 'man-to-man' chat, but that he could obviously claim that wasn't his intention should anyone haul him up on his schoolyard tactics.

The channel going to struggle as there not enough proper fans as buncey calls them! Look at boxing viewing figures on sports channel which include the casual fan and 100k is good number to view. So a 1/4 of this would be good.

Not bothered either way Jazzy - I'm not hard to find. I go to plenty of shows. I don't know what the hell a gazelle punch is but you probably bottled it as you were with Kev Maree and you wouldn't want a fat lad like me showing you up in front of him

Huh? So, in order to be able to watch Allegedly channel on my 2 TVs I need 2 separate subscriptions? Shambolic. And to mention this now AFTER I have registered and paid? I got a response from allegedly:

Hi John,

Thanks for contacting allegedly.

The FAQ information has been available since the website changed to advertise that subscription was possible. The rules regarding multiroom subcriptions have never changed. We have always asked customers to follow our subscription process for all viewing card numbers that you would like activated to allegedly and take out a new subscription for each card.

Cancellations within the minimum term of 6 months are not permitted. Should you wish to cancel after the minimum term, you will need to end your payment agreement through PayWizard. You can cancel at anytime on after 28/04/12.

Thanks
allegedly.

Now as much as I dispute that the FAQ information hasn't changed (it mentioned that it had changed in light of queries received as a result of people having trouble trying to subscribe, so by implication it must have been updated), I am unable to prove it thus I am locked into a contract.

Just thought I'd share for any others who foolishly assume that one subscription would be sufficient to watch within your sky multiroom arrangement.
