Can you please explain how silver gloves works in California? These are the state results, but didn't you also have south, central, and north California silver gloves last month? I was assuming that those acted as "state" tournaments since there are so many boxers there, with the "state" tournament acting as more of a regional thing. But you say there are still regionals next month, meaning that boxers there must win three levels of tournaments before they can advance to nationals?

You are correct. California has 4 LBCs and is its own Silver Gloves franchise. Each LBC has its own LBC tournament. Those winners compete in the State tournament. The winners of the State tournament then compete in the Regional tournament. Region 8 consists of 6 states whose champions compete against each other in their respective age divisions and weight classes: California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada and Utah. Hope this clarifies California's process for you.
