Why has this turned into the Saf Show yet again? I have stuck up for you on a few occasions Saf but I can see why people can get upset with you. Whatever people say to you about boxing "eat the meat and spit out the bone" don't always look at the negative aspect of it but see the positive. Your comment " looking at it through rose tinted glasses" if I said that to you, you would go mad! Why do you always think you are the victim? Promoters, colour, religion, fans, late notice etc. etc etc etc. Some Promoters actually read these forums and I'm sorry to say you do not help Nasser with your comments.safeerah wrote:There is not a promoter good enough or trust worthy enough to just walk away and leave them to it, not one, look at the records, everyone of them have disgruntled fighters who are not getting the fights, the money or the opportunities, fighters are going to court to try and break thier contracts, young fighters are shoved in above their heads, then when they lose, they are given the boot, Mcato you are looking at it through rose tinted glasses, as I saiid before you are on the other side of the fence with Ochieng, be prepared for change if he loses.

No need to bold - I did read your comment ok !safeerah wrote: I did say, if you read my comment, quite clearly : NOT CALLING RACISM HERE.
but if you can convince a promoter to put him his shows, nationalty does come into it, not because of colour, but culture, where will he get his fan base
You tend to revolve around the same theme - if you didn't want to raise the issue of racism, then just say nothing.
You know full well that by saying "not calling racism here" you are by definition raising racism as an issue !
Where do boxers get their fan bases? - from all sources, surely not only Asians buy tickets to watch Naz Hamed or Amir Khan ?
In fact your inference that Asians will only pay to watch Asian boxers is surely racist in itself ?
Re: ERICK OCHIENG V RYAN TOMS on Bellow undercard

So because I said you are looking at it with rose tinted glasses you have got on your high horse, what an egotistic delicate man you are, if you read all that I have said on the subject you will see, it makes sense, only you can't see it, What Saf show ? What victim ? The only victim it seems is you, I seem to have hurt your feeling's, maybe because I don't take your bullshit Advice like walk away, why don't you walk away from ochieng you liitle groupie, maybe he will do better without you, so now because I reveal in the Industry, what people of knowledge already know, promoters who read it might shun Nasser, You stupid Idiot, I thought you was intelligent enough for a proper debate, I was wrong.mcato wrote:Why has this turned into the Saf Show yet again? I thought Counter puncher already answered your post. How can not calling Racism be Raising racism it don't make sense, the reason I said it, is so people would not think I was blaming racism, what do you want from me ? Are you looking for conflict, why does the word racism create such a reaction with you ? Strange that and even if I was raising awareness of racism, which I am not, why is that such bad thing ? You need to get a grip mate, really !bripez wrote:No need to bold - I did read your comment ok !safeerah wrote: I did say, if you read my comment, quite clearly : NOT CALLING RACISM HERE.

Sorry mate but how on earth can you be racist if you don't watch boxing ?bripez wrote:Saf - The above is the issue : these days (more than ever I think) a boxer needs to be able to sell a volume of tickets almost from day one if they are going to be picked up by one of the big promoters.safeerah wrote: many reasons spring to mind, fan base is one,

not calling racism here, but how many ethnic minorities pay to see pro boxing or are interested in boxing.
Nasser does sell tickets, but not on the scale of the bigger ticket sellers,
I am not sure how you brough racism into it - the promoters do not care what colour, race, religion, shape or size you are - if you can sell tickets they will want to promote you.
Unless you are saying that ethnic minorities are racist as not many pay to see pro boxing or watch pro boxing (I assume you mean that more would pay to watch pro boxing if there were more ethnic minority boxers ?).

Totally agree. Ochieng has stepped up to the mark up until now and I think he will emerge with the win from this one further pushing him towards a tilt at the next level up.This is an interesting fight. Erick has to beat these fighters to move on to the next level. Im sure he will and then CommonWealth or British level.

Re: ERICK OCHIENG V RYAN TOMS on Bellow undercard
Counter puncher understood my comments and responded accordingly, why does Mcato and the other strange guy not understand ? My comments where based on fact within in the Industry, but some people don't seem to want a good debate, but troll for past posts to strengthen their self created arguments, Mcato seems incapable of debating anything else but Erick Ochieng and the other strange guy seems obsessed with defending himself and everyone else from bringing racism into a debate, even if you quite clearly said that your not insinuating racism, may peace be upon both of them !

Which comment are you referring to ? - also, not sure what you mean about looking for allies ?safeerah wrote:but did notice how you did not answer my comment about you, but someone else. Looking for allies lol ?
You appear to think that the world is against you and it is just difficult to have any kind of meaningful discussion or debate with somebody with such a fixed attitude.
I think that you may be referring to : in this thread you said "not calling racism here, but how many ethnic minorities pay to see pro boxing or are interested in boxing".
The point I made was that not only do promoters not care what colour, race, religion etc. you are - if you can sell tickets then they will want to promote you.
I also do not understand why you continually raise racism as an issue ? - you were again the first person to use the word "racism" on this thread, and I asked why this is relevant.
I don't what your problem is, but it seems to me that it is you that has issues. Practically every thread that you contribute to results in you posting personal insults to posters who may just have a defferent opinion than you do.

Genuine question.
I respectfully answered your question, I could have ignored ( maybe I should have judging by your response )or told you to mind your own business, but I did not, I gave you an honest answer so now you say " You appear to think that the world is against you and it is just difficult to have any kind of meaningful discussion or debate with somebody with such a fixed attitude ".
I explained the situation and quite clearly commented that I was not calling Racism, so there was no miss-understanding, but you think mentioning the word racism even in a positive sense, is somehow claiming racism, you are very defensive on the subject, why is that ? surely Your not saying racism should not be discussed in any form, but instead swept under the carpet, I have seen racism from both sides of the spectrum and people with sick minds carry it out, I am against it no matter if it is against black or white, you want to hide it, I don't, even though it was not used in my response has a reason. You see what you want to see thats your problem.

Yet again you fail to even acknowledge the point I am making and go off on on a tangent on one of your rants.safeerah wrote:I explained the situation and quite clearly commented that I was not calling Racism, so there was no miss-understanding, but you think mentioning the word racism even in a positive sense, is somehow claiming racism, you are very defensive on the subject, why is that ? surely Your not saying racism should not be discussed in any form, but instead swept under the carpet, I have seen racism from both sides of the spectrum and people with sick minds carry it out, I am against it no matter if it is against black or white, you want to hide it, I don't, even though it was not used in my response has a reason. It is clear from your posts that you feel that the world is against you, and you always refer to racism.
Again in this thread you mentioned racism (you were the first and only person to use this word) - and I asked what has racism got to do with the subject being dicussed.
You are now inferring that I think that racism should be "swept under the carpet" - seriously you need help.
