I'll tell you what I think we are benefiting from some dodgy judging here I thought Ogogo was getting tagged at will in the last there when he was only 1 up going into it. Olympic boxing does seem to be really dodgy because it was a similar story with the Chinese boxers in the last Olympics.

Huge effort from him all the same tho that Ukrainian was TOUGH!

He did fantastic; he was hurt a few times and got through well. The Ukrainian will be a fantastic pro - very compact and powerful.

Defo getting the nod on a few close decisions. He fought his heart out there tho. Is it me or do the count back scores add up to 53-52? http://www.london2012.com/boxing/event/ ... -145706283

A disgusting result. Probably the worse result i have seen so far.
An even first round. From then on he was a clear loser.

Disgusting. No way did he deserve the verdict. Results like this highlight just what a shit sport the amateur sport is.

No, completely disagree - and I've been calling the other ones, by the way.

Most of the world champ's work was absorbed by Ogogo's gloves. I thought the lad did really well - very close contest.

You're in the minority then, the Ukrainian walked him down in rounds 2 and 3 landing solid shots, pinning him up against the ropes. Forcing 2 standing counts, Ogogo couldn't keep him off.

A good fight but there was a clear winner. The Ukrainian.

How do you know I'm in the minority? One of the standing counts was utter shite, for a start. You can walk someone down and hit arms and gloves all day, it means nowt. He scored plenty though, I know that.

Was very close, IMO - Ogogo did well.

I think we will defo see an investigation into that fight.

Agogo negated a lot of his opponents efforts, but thought he was knackered on a count back.

An appeal looks likely, after all he is the world champion.

Did you see that dodgey looking man with a hat on???
Seriously Ogogo's defence was quality most of the time, covered up well an was hard to hit cleanly. Seems like a great lad goodluck to him...

Ogogo looked lucky to stay on his feet a couple times.
I understand some people here being blindly biased .. but just re-watch the fight.

Ogogo was gassed from mid way through the 2nd rnd.
The 3rd was all the Ukranian kid.

Disgusting result imo

Watched it again, it was very very close, ogogo wasn't really getting hit flush when on the ropes, the ukraine guy walked forward and finished strong but it don't matter, it's about landing more and I feel they landed around the same amount of punches clean, a good fight, I wouldn't of moaned if it went the other way, it was first called a draw which IMO was a fair result, for every biased opinion there's a overly unbiassed controversial one too !

I saw it exactly as you did, jessi - and I'm certainly not a cheerleader - I thought Joshua was clearly beaten, for example.

The appeal by Ukraine against Ogogo win over Khytrov dismissed. 'No special grounds' for the appeal say AIBA.

Boxing is dodgy at all levels. Ogogo didnt win, however there is too much money incentives for the winner of the gold medal and thats why there is so much cheating.

I was there today :box: great day but in my mind, Agogo didn't win that fight. 1st round ok, looked like 2 standing counts and well beaten in the 2nd but only lost round by a point...hmmmm.

Seeing Lomachenko made the day for me.
