For those interested, the book will likely be published/released this month (and possibly for FREE on the Internet) – stay tuned!
P.S.
Since some folks appear interested in boxer historic comparisons, here’s one that you may like.
Power-punching heavyweight brothers Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko – does either one (or both) have matches in history or is either one or both setting a new precedent(s)?
Surprise – they both have matches – power-punching heavyweight brothers Max and Buddy Baer (some details below).
Older brother Max’s first (KO) loss is to a future world HW champion (with 2 career stoppage losses) named Louis – older brother Vitali’s first (TKO) loss is to a defending world HW champion (with 2 career stoppage losses) named Lewis.
Younger brother Buddy is the first to stop durable puncher Abe Simon, who later stops future world HW champion Jersey Joe Walcott - younger brother Wladimir is the first to stop durable puncher Ray Mercer, who earlier stops future WBO HW champion Tommy Morrison.
Sometimes history repeats (with a ‘twist’): Older brother Max has three career stoppage losses and younger brother Buddy has only two – older brother Vitali has only two career stoppage losses and younger brother Wladimir has three.
The reasons Buddy never becomes a world HW titlist (as does his modern era counterpart Wladimir) are multifold: Buddy’s career coincides with HW legend Louis’ career whereas Wladimir’s (and Vitali’s) careers begin to peak near the tail end of HW legend Lewis’ career. Also, needless to say, there are multiple world HW titles available (as with all divisions) in the modern era.
P.P.S.
The book section on boxing focuses upon cross era match-ups – this requires an understanding of something specific (as will be explained) and has NOTHING to do with historic similarities, numerology/astrology, records, styles or whether or not any fight films exist for any particular boxer(s) – and yes, this can be proven (it is far easier than one may think)!
Coming soon…
By the way, did anyone notice that defending world WW champion Manny Pacquiao loses to a reigning world JWW champion named Timmy in a similar manner as when former world WW champion Jimmy McLarnin (Manny's historic counterpart) loses to a former world JWW champion named Tony? Jimmy avenges the loss a few months later (in a REMATCH) – are you listening Manny?

Oops, I forgot to mention Floyd Mayweather Jr. (Henry Armstrong's modern era counterpart); it may be too late (for many reasons) for Floyd to consider a bout with MW titlist Sergio Martinez (MW titlist Ceferino Garcia's modern era counterpart - at least from Floyd's/Henry's perspective); not a major loss, as it probably would have ended in a controversial draw.
There is not much else for Floyd to do (or hope for) - better retire early or risk running into much younger modern era counterparts of Beau Jack (or Willie Joyce) - now, who could they be???
