Came across an article on texas hwgt champion Gil Stromquist. He was supposed to fight between 1940-50.
Among his opponents were; Dixie Oliver, Howard Thompson, Al Patterson, Dan Merritt, Jim Pope, Laurient Bouchard, Yancey Henry.
JD Jay Turner for the texan title.
He was semi-finalist at the Ray Robinson-LaMotta card in Detroit and the LaMotta-Bulldog Harris in Pittsburgh.
QUERY; Has anybody more facts about him? Date, venues and results?
He won and lost the Texan title, agianst who?

The undated bout with Moroz was on the Mauriello-Bivins undercard. Moroz also smacked him out early at the Broadway Arena.
