Cotto/Gatti in early 05. I'd have favored Miguel, but he wasn't the finished product yet; he'd just won the belt v. Pinto in September 04.

Spadafora/Castillo

Coggi/Murray in a title unification in 93. Would've been a lot better than that horse shit fight we got on the Ferguson/Mercer II PPV (Murray/Hooper).

Munoz/Montiel unification in 03 when both were still undefeated and Munoz was still a huge puncher.
Re: Some Great Fights That Should Have Happened But Never Did
You ain't kidding about the horrible reffing. The officials bent over backwards to give that one to Juarez, the ref especially. For ther record I still think Raheem deserved it, even with all the BS point deductionsRover wrote:Juarez/Raheem II (horrible reffing in the first fight)

I had Rocky by a point (112-111, I think). The ref was the main problem.gilgamesh wrote:You ain't kidding about the horrible reffing. Speaking of Raheem, how about a Freitas rematch? Both remained active after their first fight. (Raheem was KO'd by Funeka.)
Re: Some Great Fights That Should Have Happened But Never Did
Kalule/Benitez in 81 or 82. That would've been a purist's dream; lot of great technique displayed.

Bobick-Bugner (Would've been great for Duane to have avoided Norton and opted for Bugner instead).

Ike's last fight was in 99 v. Byrd; don't know exactly when he got arrested, but when should the Holy and Tyson fights have happened?AngryGoon38 wrote:Cooney-Coetzee

Mike got that suspension after the munchies incident in June 1997. Holyfield and Lewis tied up 99.
I guess you'd have preferred Holy/Ike instead of Holy/Bean and Tyson/Ike instead of Tyson/Botha; that is about the only time, given suspensions and arrests, that Mike and Ike could've fought.
