Any news on Burns' opponent?
Any news on Burns' opponent?
Just 2.5 weeks til the fight? Surely someone must have been lined up by now? Even for a non-title, 10 rounder.

Re: Any news on Burns' opponent?
I originally thought that, but surely it would make more sense to milk that particular cash cow at a Glasgow venue rather than the east end of London 2 weeks before xmas?danconnollyeire wrote:Gotta be Harrison with his new found ranking lolearsjohn wrote:Just 2.5 weeks til the fight? If they leave it much longer it'll have to be staged behind closed doors in Spain.

Re: Any news on Burns' opponent?
Be good to see him fight Gavin Rees now the Murray fight is off.
Re: Any news on Burns' opponent?
It makes perfect sense for it to be Rees as he was training for a fight around the same time, as FW allowed Murray to fight on a Matchroom promotion, hopefull Hearn will allow Rees to fight on a FW promotion, provided terms can be argreed that is...

Rees doesn't seem as high on Eddie's pecking order as Bellew, Froch, Barker etc so maybe so

After all that's been said, it would be a shock for me if Gavin appeared on a FW promoted bill.

Rees is far too good of an opponent for Burns.

Re: Any news on Burns' opponent?
I thought he may of fought Murray but Rees makes sense now! Eddie Hearn should be sending his boy round to Franks place to put his name forward!
