I was watching the Emile Griffith and Dick Tiger's second fight on ESPN Classic last night and looked up his record.
I'm going by memory but I have always been a fan of Emile Griffith since I saw him fight Gaspar Ortega on either the Friday night or Wednesday night fights.
I remember seeing Emile fight Yama Bahama in his first fight as a middleweight on one of those two programs. The memory of Yama knocking out Griffith in I think the first round is firmly etched in my memory. Maybe not the first, but certainly a knock out. Your records say decision and although I hate to rely on memory I beg to disagree.
