Ha, came into the thread to say 'Ewhoah Bomber Gwaham' (in the style of Jim McDonnell) and Johnny Nelson only to watch in dismay as they are reeled off in quick succession having been claimed by other parties!
Re: Most underserving ring Monikers?

Shit post that.johnnygreaves wrote:Bill. He has a point. You were just a journeyman yourself. A fat not very good one at that. You've been digging out journeymen all the time I've been on here. Stop it & go eat pie
I don't know Billy but I do know his record (and ABA winner) and also know your record, and you are in no position to come out with that shite.
Reading Billys original comment I don't see what caused your post, and reading his subsequent reply clearly shows who has the most class.

Billy has made many comments about journeymen and being a bit pissed off that day I just picked up on it.i have nothing against him on a personal level.

paul"the maniac" morris.always made me laugh this one.

It shows who's had a bad day; if you read johnny's later post it explains things a little better; I'm sure Billy can take a little criticism and not be too snooty about it, both of them have shown plenty on here and both of them have laughed at themselves plenty.bripez wrote:poo post that.johnnygreaves wrote:Bill. Did you go to the forum petrol station and buy a few litres to try and fuel this? Your reply clearly shows who the forum shit stirrer is.bripez wrote:poo post that.johnnygreaves wrote:Bill. He's more of an anaconda, or a boa constrictor.johnswan1 wrote:As much as I love Froch, a more suitable moniker would be Carl "Pet Cobra" Froch. If he was a real cobra in the wild he'd be too slow to catch anything and would die of starvation in no time.
Re: Most underserving ring Monikers?
I heard he got the nickname after knocking out an opponent, of whom the referee asked what he could see, and the guy answered "six heads." Or something like that.johnty1888 wrote:Andrew " Six Heads" Lewis
Come on......he definitely only has one!
Re: Most underserving ring Monikers?
My reply always is to walk a mile in my shoes, I don't see many people knocking journeymen then. There is a world of difference between journeymen and tomato cans.johnnygreaves wrote:Billy.i must apologise for my dig as I'd had a poxy day.i was just rising to the fact you constantly dig at journeymen I wasn't always judged unfairly.but I always had hardly any notice & could put many losses down to that fact.i would've loved to go and try to win every fight.but more often than not,the kids were simply better and being a bleeder meant it would've cost my family money.so at times I tucked up and took the cash.my bad!but as we all know, life is about providing for ones children.yes I did it for the coin.such is life! Once again sorry for the fat slur.u have a problem with us journeymen.though I think actually having a great talent and eating it away and doing eff all is worse than us lads just earning a living

I made the comment because in my opinion it was a shite post.
My reply was also made a full 3 days after the comment I was referring to, and yet in that time not one other person pulled him up on it. Johnny seems to get a lot of support on this site, and I am sure that if somebody made a personal negative comment about him then there would be people coming out in support (in the usual "journeymen are the salt of the earth" type stuff we often see).
In my opinion, the comment was out of order. If you disagree, no big deal.
Re: Most underserving ring Monikers?
I agree Froch isn't very fast but I think the name was given more for the way he snaps his jab up from his waist, giving the impression of a cobra strike, I don't think it's too inaccurate to be honest. Kessler said he really struggled with his jab.Tomasino wrote:Bernard "the Executioner" Hopkins....maybe vs Trinidad
