Copper Box Card, 30th November

Post by Black Sam Bellamy »

Went to the first event at the Copper Box and enjoyed it, despite the very late finish.

Got to say however that the next event in just over a fortnight isnt really making me want to go out and buy a ticket. Two weeks away and we've got just three fights announced. John McDermott is apparently injured, so the fourth fight is presumably off.

So what about the rest ? TBAs still - so assume these are all going to be lob-sided knock-over jobs.

And why arent Liam Walsh and Tony Conquest building on a good wins over Joe Murray and Wadi Camacho on this card ?

Heavyweight Dereck Chisora V Matteo Modugno 12x3
Cruiserweight Nathan Cleverly V Daniel Ammann 12x3
Welterweight Bradley Skeete V Colin Lynes 10x3
Heavyweight John McDermott V Ian Lewison 10x3

Super featherweight Mitchell Smith V TBA 10x3
Super middleweight Frank Buglioni V TBA 12x3
Welterweight Gary Corcoran V TBA 6x3
Light welterweight Chris Evangelou V TBA 6x3
Light heavyweight Andreas Evangelou V TBA 6x3
Welterweight George Kean V TBA 4x3
Middleweight Tom Baker V TBA 4x3

If there's someone from Queensbury reading this, can we at least have a few more undercard fights announced please ?!

Because the bottom seven fighters will sell almost all the tickets.

Its a crap show already, and that's before the inevitable pull-outs that occur within ten days of the show. If the idea is to put on a show watched live by supporters of the undercard fighters then fair enough, but if the idea is to give the public an evening of balanced quality fights its one of the worst of the year.

Some flesh added to the bones. Slim pickings you'd have to say. I'm out.

MITCHELL SMITH v SYLVIAN CHAPPELLE
ANDREAS EVANGELOU v MITCH MITCHELL
CHRIS EVANGELOU v ASHLEY MAYALL
GEORGIE KEAN v BHEKI MOYO
GARY CORCORAN v DAI JONES
TOM BAKER v KIRILL PSONKO
