Kotey was at a similar level to Lamptrey and Galarza was a step back as well. To be honest I only posted it because I knew it would get a reaction out of los2.DMA1987 wrote:Kell Brook who is mandatory for the IBF? I dont mind a weaker fight if there is a point. Not like you to cause trouble expe
Re: Frankie Gavin's next fight is against...
With the reasons given it's fair enough to take this fight, but there has simply got to be a step up in levels next year. No more stagnation.
Re: Frankie Gavin's next fight is against...
kotey was a bad match so brook left his promoter.....some boxers are happy picking up their money

when i heard tickets for this show were thirty quid I thought about going with my dad, but if this is the match-making they aspire to I'll not bother. That is an xmas present for Frankie.
Re: Frankie Gavin's next fight is against...
gavin is older than brook....brook chose to learn the pro game not 3 rounders...imagine the stick brook would get if he'd had lottery funding and not gone to olympicsthatllbeme wrote:kells been a pro over 9 years gavin less than 5 so see who kells fought in his 1st 5 years and compare that not what hes done the last few years

But if he would have won the World ams the good would probably outweigh the bad. Making history and all that..los2 wrote:gavin is older than brook....brook chose to learn the pro game not 3 rounders...imagine the stick brook would get if he'd had lottery funding and not gone to olympicsthatllbeme wrote:kells been a pro over 9 years gavin less than 5 so see who kells fought in his 1st 5 years and compare that not what hes done the last few years

It's incredible really that Amir Khan is the youngest out of Brook, Khan and Gavin; he's really done well.los2 wrote:gavin is older than brook....brook chose to learn the pro game not 3 rounders...imagine the stick brook would get if he'd had lottery funding and not gone to olympicsthatllbeme wrote:kells been a pro over 9 years gavin less than 5 so see who kells fought in his 1st 5 years and compare that not what hes done the last few years

Re: Frankie Gavin's next fight is against...
He did the best he could to make the Olympics, but couldn't make the weight, Kerry Kayes wasn't allowed out to Macau to help him and they wouldn't allow a box off at light welter because they wanted the extra fighter at the Olympics. Simply a case of the ABA and BOA thinking they knew best and had the best people in when they didn't and in doing so lost their best gold medal opportunity.los2 wrote:gavin is older than brook....brook chose to learn the pro game not 3 rounders...imagine the stick brook would get if he'd had lottery funding and not gone to olympicsthatllbeme wrote:kells been a pro over 9 years gavin less than 5 so see who kells fought in his 1st 5 years and compare that not what hes done the last few years
