Groves said he's going to meet Froch mid ring and force him back.

That was proper tasty! Lol. Froch was giving as good as he got in that exchange. On ringside he got beaten pretty badly in the verbal exchange but it was a lot more evenly matched there.

I'm no great Froch fan but he utterly wiped the floor with Groves at that press conference

Groves must have done very well v Kessler in the spars - he must have dominated for him to be this confident or Kessler must have said something about his power.

Yeah but as you know, not everyone spars aswell as they fight. On top of that you're wearing 16oz gloves and a head guard. It's not quite the same.

It's hard not to believe froch is going to obliterate him watching that

I can only imagine that George wants Froch frothing at the mouth when the fight begins; I'm impressed with how evil Froch looks when he's lost his rag and how calm Groves manages to be.

Froch was livid! I'm starting to think Carl is running Hatton close for the repeating yourself title. We have heard he's fought "world class opposition" before...

In that head to head it looked like it finally hit Groves that he has a huge task in his hands. He looked petrified

Though Froch was far more forceful than Groves he isn't able to control himself the same and Groves had a point when he pulled Froch up about comments he'd made before the Kessler rematch - Froch isn't used to someone coming back at him. I can only imagine how mad he'll be when Groves starts saying stuff about Rachel Cordingley in the fight; he'll be swinging for the fences, he might bite Georges ears off :OhYes:

Groves definitely wants him fighting angry and it looks like he's succeeded in that regard but he doesn't seem as confident to me anymore

Yeah I thought George was going pretty red in the face which is a pretty good indicator of when someone is nervous and feeling the heat.

I thought Froch didn't seem confident in the build up and Groves was becoming more and more cocky... after watching that video my opinion completely changed.

Groves looked frightened and Froch self-assured

Interesting that Groves backed off at the end. I think Froch being more aggressive wasn't what he expected at all.

Groves seems very good to me when he's trash talking and Froch isnt replying but as soon as Froch starts giving it back, Groves looks lost to me.
