I thought Martin had turned his life around after the stints in prison? He should of changed his mates if that was the case.

If there his mates, he could choose better friends though. Obviously their actions arent his fault though.

Aha mate you think I've taken it seriously as a Northerner ? I've worked in Brentwood over the years mate and Basildon.
Hope you're from the nice part of Essex !
On a serious note there's good and bad supporters North South East and West.

It's got nothing to do with being Northerners or not, a prick is a prick and those guys are prize pricks.

Happened into them before the Froch fight actually and they were giving it large to me and a few mates that they were Murray's brother/dad/friends, a bigger bunch of pricks it's harder to find I must say. You can tell just by looking at them, never mind speaking to them for 5 minutes, that they are just constantly on the lookout for trouble.

Mate I'm from Basildon so you know it ain't the nice part haha. To be fair the majority of fighters support are normally just casual fans following the local boy, they are probably more at home on the terraces chanting football songs and having a beer and a sniff that's why some fighters support act up in my eyes

Fighters wages are built on ticket sales,, if the promoter said no sniff or beer heads then they'd be out of buisness,,, nature of sell at all costs

We all know the business of boxing, fighters have to train hard make the weight and what else?? Errr...
Sell tickets thats right,if martin doesnt sell tickets he wont get on shows cause someone has to cough up his money so unfortunatley for martin, because of his troubled past he probably only knows troubled people who he can sell tickets to. Its sad nut hey thats the business of boxing

It was a fight, away from the arena against another group of lads. How do we know who started it? Things happen when large groups of lads get together and drink is involved. Martin is a rough bloke from a rough area, are you seriously asking him to change his mates? He can't control everyone, they are grown ups. No doubt he does ask them to behave when he sees them.

Didn't even notice them in the arena so surprised they had a row elsewhere. Saw one bloke in a Team Murray t-shirt or something at the bar but other than that didn't really notice any particular group of support for Murray.

Only fight I saw in the arena was between a couple of girls in the raised seating bit all over pretty quickly security all over it sharpish. Weird the searches getting in the arena though - bit like going through airport control confiscated bloke in fronts little bottle of aftershave - not sure what that was about  But you were allowed beers into the "arena" and no real trouble so all good :yay:

Funny. I covered a lot of his earlier fights at VIP shows, 7 of the first 9 i think but never saw any trouble. I was going to suggest perhaps the ones that are now causing trouble are the ones who have joined the Murray bandwagon for beer and a night out. Seemingly not if they were at it when he first went pro. Saying that i tended to be ringside as appose to in the bar etc...

Shame security cant keep these incidents under control. It does put people off going.

Or maybe this guy has had a bad experience and is tarring all Murray's lot with the same brush. I've been to a few where he has boxed and never noticed anything untoward, to be honest.

Sound like a bunch of worthless scumbags.

But, as somebody else above mentioned these lowlifes buy a lot of tickets.

Personally I only go to live boxing events if I'm ringside, and that is usually at some of the smaller shows. It tends to filter out most of the clowns. The ringside seats still have their fair share of idiots but they're usually outside of the price range of the regular bunch of trouble makers you get.
