Just seen this thread! Your damn right I'm proud to be British champion, I've really enjoyed been champion, when you set out on a quest to achieve something and EVERYBODY laughs in your face and tells you your crap and have no chance it doesn't half feel good when you finally achieve it, since I've been British champion I've gone to every school that's invited me every hospital and every function I've been asked to go to, hopefully my story can inspire some other kid that has a "stupid" dream, maybe my story tells him that it can be done, trust me when I tell you that if I can then anybody can because I was rubbish when I first stepped in the gym, if that's milking my win then yep I'm guilty, I've been back in the gym grafting for a month waiting on my next fight to come up, announced this week I believe, you can't please everybody all the time but I have pleased myself my family and my friends, I'll die a happy man, came saw conquered, the journey isn't over but anything else is a added bonus, I did what I came to do, made a promise to my dad and kept it

Brilliant fishing trip...top marks! :TU:

It is a really good story. I think even Curtis knows he isn't some sort of boxing great. There are far better fighters than Curtis who have never won a British title. But Curtis plugged away and had his magical night.

He is an inspiration to a lot of average domestic boxers out there who doubt they can ever hit the heights. Keep going. the dream can become reality!

Can't wait for you against Limond. Your a total legend and a inspiration to people to show what you can achieve with a lot of heart and a bit of banter. This will be the first fight that I don't want anyone to lose.. Hope you can carry on the dream maybe even a Euro/World title shot. Think Big.. Achieve Big

When you read this you need to have Land of Hope and Glory playing in the background, and imagine Richard Burtons gravelly tones reading it out, whilst watching old black and white films of Spitfires, and little boys playing conkers in the playground, with Dixon of Dock Green smiling paternally from a photograph on the mantel peace. If you do this it will bring a tear to your eye.

Just kidding Curtis....
