I think Floyd is off his game and will lose Sat.
I think there's too many indicators that he's not 100% at present time. I think he is exhausted physically and mentally. I think he is overtrained and his central nervous system is wreaking havoc on him physically. I believe this is what happened in the first fight and that's why he looked kind of flat and languished on the ropes for a lot of the fight. I fear the same thing is going to happen in this fight only Maidana will look more improved. I also think all of the out-of-the-ring stuff is weighing on Floyd, and for the first time, I think he may not be 100% focused on this fight. And if that's the case, I can see Floyd getting caught and knocked out. It's basically a perfect opportunity for Maidana. It's a perfect storm brewing right now and at no other time in Floyd's career has there been this great of an opportunity for his opponent to capitalize.

I disagree, but wish Maidana luck. I hope he pulls off the miracle.
Re: I think Floyd is off his game and will lose Sat.
Overanalyzing like a mf'er.
If anything Floyd will be MORE focused because of the flak he took from the first fight being so close.

Floyd will win by UD.
Maidana has NO CHANCE whatsoever.

I like Maidana because I like aggressive punchers, but I think Money Mayweather via UD by a wider score than last time

Its boxing anything can happen. I've said from the start that if Floyd did the 6 fights in 3 year, May & Sept schedule I felt like there is a solid chance he'd lose. Floyd hasn't been that active since 2005-2007 & I think his hand issues & just age in a young guys sport will likely take a tole on him @ some point.

That's wishful thinking Floyd has proven time and time again that distractions don't faze him.
Rooting for Chino but Floyd will jab right hand then move all f*cking night and take his UD snoozer.

well we saw rjj languishing on the ropes more as he got older but fm is such a good infighter. anyway 8-1 odd on maidana must be a pinch.

Last time I thought Floyd would win be near shut-out.
This time I think the same.
And, just like last time, I'll be happy to see a good fight and be proved wrong.

Re: I think Floyd is off his game and will lose Sat.
I reckon a Mayweather decision is the obvious outcome but if Maidana is fitter than last time which is a problem Roberto Garcia seems to be trying to solve then Floyd has to be careful he isnt outworked
Workrate i think will probably cost Mayweather his 0,i doubt it will be saturday but if the time comes then i see him being outworked eventually, not outclassed
Maidana wins 4 rounds tops IMO

now that's a stupid statement , while i think floyd will be more focused and win maidana was leading after 5 rds and for the first time in a very long time i thought floyd might lose a fight till chino ran out of gas a bit , to say the guy that gave floyd his hardest fight in over a decade has no chance isn't doing chino justice .Freedom2013 wrote:Floyd will win by UD.

If Mayweather loses... it will be solely because age has finally caught up to him... older we all get, the more our bodies mature and get heavy and the harder it is to bounce back into condition... the reflexes go, the speed grinds down, etc... but I think Mayweather will win... he's rather under-rated offensively, and he does have some good pop to his punches. His head movement will always be there, so I think he could weather the storm.... mind you, he didnt have to take this rematch, but he did it anyways--- an indicator to me, at least, that he knows he will win this again.
Maidana, on the other hand, has the most to lose. He's convinced millions of people that he is that good, and that he was even robbed (in some circles). He knows he has to be more conditioned, more explosive, and have a higher work rate, and because of this--- he will be leaving himself all the more open to counters. Call me crazy... but either Maidana is gonna catch Mayweather and hurt him, or Mayweather is gonna catch him coming in, and its over.

Re: I think Floyd is off his game and will lose Sat.
Floyd seems quite young for his age if that makes sense? Im not just talking about his maturity level either lol. In the sense that I can imagine whilst he's 37 he's got more of a body of a 30 yr old. Hopkins is another that I would describe in the same way but at the extreme of the spectrum.HomicideHenry wrote:If Mayweather loses... it will be solely because age has finally caught up to him... older we all get, the more our bodies mature and get heavy and the harder it is to bounce back into condition... the reflexes go, the speed grinds down, etc... but I think Mayweather will win... he's rather under-rated offensively, and he does have some good pop to his punches. Re: I think Floyd is off his game and will lose Sat.
While that may be so, historically it is stylists/boxers who get slower and are more prone to danger than say the sluggers or power punchers--- for they rely on speed, reflexes, etc. and common logic is, they should be catching more shots as time goes on.lefty wrote:Floyd seems quite young for his age if that makes sense? Floyd will be better-prepared this time and win easily.stevedoc wrote:now that's a stupid statement , while i think floyd will be more focused and win maidana was leading after 5 rds and for the first time in a very long time i thought floyd might lose a fight till chino ran out of gas a bit , to say the guy that gave floyd his hardest fight in over a decade has no chance isn't doing chino justice .Freedom2013 wrote:Floyd will win by UD.

I said in another thread I think Maidana KO.
He's going to come harder, fitter and leaner Saturday. People talk about how Maidana can do any better... The guy keeps getting better. Unless Floyd's Arizaed up to the gills, I think it's Chino's night.

he's got a new referee of course he's better prepared. expect maidana to get points deducted
Re: I think Floyd is off his game and will lose Sat.
He won't win a decision anyway. He's gonna rough Floyd the fornicate up and KO him. I don't think they care about rounds, Team Maidana wouldn't talk so much about it being a foul fest again if they did. They know a UD is out of the question. It's just going to be pure violence reigned down on Floyd.Rodian wrote:he's got a new referee of course he's better prepared. expect maidana to get points deducted
He might dance away and potshot. But I think he could've done that last time, but he didn't. What I mean is, he didn't cos he couldn't.
Re: I think Floyd is off his game and will lose Sat.
I have the feeling Floyd might knock Chino out as he comes rushing in.clopixolacuphase wrote:I said in another thread I think Maidana KO.

Re: I think Floyd is off his game and will lose Sat.
Hmm yeah. But the last person he did that with was Hatton. You know, I loved Ricky. But this 147 Maidana? He'd have taken Hatton out. It took ten rounds for Mayweather, a prime Mayweather, to KO Hatton. Maidana's bigger, more durable... Floyd's older...lefty wrote:I have the feeling Floyd might knock Chino out as he comes rushing in.clopixolacuphase wrote:I said in another thread I think Maidana KO.

I don't think Maidana's team are looking at a UD. They should aim for a mid rounds stoppage.
Anyway I have been wrong on a lot of sh*t before
