I think if you watch the battles Colin Jones had with Milton McCrory and then watch how Don Curry dealt with him you'll see how precise and damaging Curry could be.

Although I'd class Duran as more of an all rounder (his boxing skills are sometimes overlooked) he was an amazing offensive fighter.

De La Hoya was a great finisher also.when he had someone hurt he usually went for it,like v Vargas and Mayorga

I have to mention Edwin Valero and Wifredo Gomez - brilliant offensive fighters, Jamie Garza as well, there weren't many who could go the distance with him and they all knew what they were getting into.

tzsu was a very formidable and dangerous fighter. cant quite understand how he lost to hatton. I rate prime kostya as one of the very best in his division
I think he aged overnight in the Hatton fight. He was 38 after all when they fought.

remember - this is not about the greatest fighter, its is the greatest OFFENSIVE fighter. that rules out ring craftsmen like hagler, calzaggy and robinson and roy jones or ray leonard and promotes out and out attacking warriors like Tyson, frazier, foreman, duran and tommy hearns.

if kell brook is mentioned on this thread as a possible then I can only surmise that the word "offensive" has taken on its other meaning :TU:

Jack Dempsey for pure out & out viciousness.

Mike Tyson also deserves a shout.
He looks so casual avoiding incoming punches and seems to have all the time in the world to choose where to land his own shots, it is so perfect it looks like it's rehearsed.
Within the past 20 years, Jose Luis Castillo deserves a shout as he was a pretty ruthless offensive fighter in his prime.

Think he just didn't have the desire any more to be honest. I watched the fight the other night for the first time since the first fight, and although Tszyu landed a few solid right hands, he definitely wasn't looking too good. Hatton just roughed him up and kept him under pressure and he wilted. At 37 he was carrying a lot of injuries, and was paid a lot of money to defend his title against Hatton. Ricky did well, but he certainly got Kostya at the right time, and in the right place.

Forgot about him, what an absolute beast he was. Absolutely mullered most people he beat. Galaxy is one of those guys who has been largely forgotten.

Felix Trinidad surely deserves a mention, and Shane Mosley.

At their best.... Duran and Chavez were the two greatest offensive fighters I ever seen. Both men were as skilled as they were ferocious. Which made them all the more incredible to watch in the ring.

I love watching Duran in his prime, every single shot lands with intent, and his defence is so crafty, he's there in his opponent's face the whole time, but is hard to hit.

His performance against Hagler was incredible, considering that he was really a blown up welterweight and not a big one at that. His fight against Barkley a thing of beauty.
