FMJ vs Whitaker

Post by BoxBuzz »

I'd very much like to sample the opinions on this match up.

Yep...it would be hard to imagine who would be the aggressor....and I suppose it could be snoozefest of safety first strategies.

But I'm curious about the assessment of over all skills/ abilities, between these two.

Also....do weight divisions equal different outcomes of a potential fight between these two?

Do I favor one of them? Yes I would clearly favor Sweet P.

I've been watching their mutual fights here lately...so if you use examples I'll be glad to view examples given as to why one should be favored over the other. They are equally unlikable for many of us....so I think I can assume non bias opinions.

Mostly I'm interested in the variety of assessments that will be generated by the forum on this question.

it wouldn't be a great match up tbh,i suppose if you get a Floyd in his earlier days, the corrales era Floyd he might stand a chance but otherwise sweet p would score with those flicking jabs he used to use,he`s as fast as Floyd, defensively as good and better on his feet as Floyd likes to plant his,the only way Floyd wins is if sweet p comes in unprepared,he wasn't the best of trainers, sweet p was a great technician though

a better match up for me would be Floyd vs chavez,i`de love to see whether Floyd could keep the marauding Mexican off him for 12 rounds

...to the end of the fight, where the scorecards would have him down a few rounds.....
