Chudinov Sturm
Chudinov Sturm
Fedor Chudinov is a big 3/1 underdog with the bookies, anyone think they've got it wrong?
Re: Chudinov Sturm
Yeah I think this is a silly fight for Sturm actually, big chance of him losing yet he is expected to win, could be the end of his career if he does.
Re: Chudinov Sturm
I agree. Sturm has a good chance to get stopped. Pretty stupid at 36, not being a very slick boxer, to fight a young guy with a pop and probably a good chin. Fighting Abraham would be way better financially and resume wise.TheWigwam wrote:Yeah I think this is a silly fight for Sturm actually, big chance of him losing yet he is expected to win, could be the end of his career if he does.

I think a swansong against AA is Sturm's ultimate goal. But he needs a belt in order to claim a 50/50 split.ikorolev wrote:I agree. Sturm has a good chance to get stopped. Think Chudinov can get a decision? I'm putting some of my Floyd winnings on this, not sure if to go Chudinov straight up or by KO.

Sturm from the last fight beats Chudinov up. Badly.

You never know what Sturm will turn up,more often than not these days he looks poo but he was competitive against Stieglitz and great against a broken Barker but against Soliman both times he was awful, its a big step up for Chudinov who might be exposed or give Felix a long, hard night, sink or swim time
I'll go Chudinov wide UD

It's a good competitive match-up. I'm not sure who'll win.
Re: Chudinov Sturm
Both seem to have trained well and did not have any problems with weight:
Chudinov scaled 166.4lbs (75.5kg) for the bout, whilst Sturm came in at 166.8lbs (75.7kg).

Re: Chudinov Sturm
This is a really interesting fight.
I like the value on Chudinov and have money on him in accumulators. But I'm having a few doubts. Fedor's head, body and foot movement are poor. He has good pop and some handspeed. I could see him getting outhustled by Sturm. If Chudinov has a rock solid chin you would think Sturm would have to survive the whole fight without getting tagged with that power. There are clues, but we don't know exactly how tough Fedor is, one would assume he can withstand the punches of Sturm who isn't known for his power.

Re: Chudinov Sturm
I think that Sturm should be the favorite as he performed well against Stieglitz in his last fight and has fought at a much higher level, but generally his form hasn't been good over the last few years. Fedor has clear limitations in skill that I think Sturm can exploit, but how much does Sturm have left and is it enough to overcome a strong and likely determined opponent?
I lean to Sturm winning close, but there aren't many outcomes that would surprise me and given those odds I can see the value in Fedor.

Should be easier than Stieglitz, he just should be careful in the early rounds, and try not to eat many shots.
Re: Chudinov Sturm
Stieglitz who ? That obscure German boxer who barely ever fights outside of Germany, has 4 losses (2 of them by KO) and needed dirty tricks and ref's help to beat Khomitsky ?
Chudinov is better.
Chudinov is better.
