I been hearing allot of talk and seeing a few news articles saying Lucas Browne might be the next challenger for the World Boxing Council World Heavyweight Title which belongs to Deontay Wilder
There is one problem with that
Alexander Povetkin is the WBC Mandatory Challenger
he became the Mandatory Challenger when he defeated Mike Perez in a WBC Eliminator bout
not just that but Deontay Wilder used up his Volunteer Defense against Eric Molina so he has to fight Povetkin next
Don't get me wrong I think Lucas Browne deserves the title opportunity however if there was a line it would be 3rd in line with WBA and 2nd in line with the WBC is Deontay if still Champion after he fights Povetkin

Re: Lucas Brown in Line with WBC
I like big daddy. He is a good charector and looks the part too. But i honestly think he need a few more fights under his belt befor he is ready. He is constantly improving but he is a bit of a plodder atm and is very inexperienced. Has has zero ameture background either. I would hate to see him get a shot and not even look competitive. Good luck to him though.
Re: Lucas Brown in Line with WBC
My understanding is that D can choose and the WBC can approve another voluntary defence if he wants before the one with Povetkin.
Given that the the Povetkin talks aren't slated till October, their fight might be early 2016 at best, heaps of time for another voluntary for D, which I think he'll do.
I think Browne is a great match up for D, D would blast him out of there as Browne is to easy to hit and I also think Browne and his Team would take it if offered seeing as the WBA seem to be dicking them around.

Agree with everything you say Totalpac.
However, Ricky Hatton obviously has Browne on a short leash, as does Al Haymon with DW. I just can't see this fight being made because two fighters (who want the fight) are trash talking each other.
Promoters control everything, and Haymon has Arreola, Tarver and Spilzka, so I'll guess it's one of those.
