1:16 * The two fighters are circling one another. Jones Jr looks like he's trying to target the bleeding that has become much more noticeable on the face of Vanderpool. Round 8
Time Commentary Points
0:00 The bell sounds to start Round 8. 0:0
0:07 The swelling on the face of Syd Vanderpool is noticeable, even at a distance. Although his corner men were applying cold compresses and trying to work the swelling away from his eyes, Vanderpool still has distension. 0:0

0:49 * What was once just a trickle of blood is much more noticeable now as Vanderpool's face looks like it lost a fight with a razor blade. It's a good thing that the bleeding isn't over an eye or this fight would be in jeopardy. And it still may be, as Referee Florian has now halted the contest and is leading Vanderpool toward the ring doctor's position to get a second opinion on the severity of the bleeding. 16:0
0:54 * The Referee has stopped this fight. * It's all over, the cut over Vanderpool's eye is in terrible shape and he will not be able to continue! The winner by TKO Jones Jr! 16:0
