Adrien Broner

Post by fightfan95 »

What do you people think about Broner? He's been stripped of his super-lightweight belt for not making the weight, this is he second time he has been stripped I believe... Also all this with Mayweather as well? Do you think he is trying to build up a hype fight with Floyd and tempt him out of retirement?

Absolute idiot. Shame he's not fulfilling his potential. I'm thought he could of been a very good lightweight but moved up to WW to quickly.

For me he loses to anyone at the top level now example being Maidana and porter.

Crawford schools him at LWW

Why do people think he's some great talent like FMJ? All his early world titles were won due to him outweighing his opponent by 20lbs so he could walk them down and pot shot them, he has a sh1t defence, sh1t footwork, sh1t work rate and sh1t ring IQ. He has no A level wins, he's the most overrated boxer in the world, every time he's stepped up he's lost and should have at least 1 more defeat on his record.

I hope he moves up to WW again now he cant make 140 and I wish Brook fights him and absolutely wipes the floor with him.

He's pretty mediocre to be honest.

Schooled by a B Level fighter in Maidana, should arguably have lost to a D-Level fighter in Paulie, should arguably have lost to an E-Level fighter in Ponce De Leon.

I read once that he was burning money. Once read about an ol' pro wrestler that did that (Jerry Graham) and he ended up broke.

You wouldn't think people who'd burn $$$ would end up broke. :brick: (heavy sarcasm)

Basically he has less talent and WAY less work ethic than Floyd, and is trying to make up for it by being even more of an asshole.

5 years into Floyd's career he was still at 130, running through the absolute best fighters the division had to offer.

5 years into Broner's career he had eaten his way up to 147 and had like 1 impressive win in his whole career.

You should have let us choose more than one option.

I like him but he is an entertaining idiot who tries to be Floyd Masterstroke (ha, spell checker put that so I'm leaving it).

His fights are fun to watch too. I'd rather watch him in the ring than Floyd.

I do fear for the kids future. I can see broke and damaged goods but I hope I'm wrong.

The guy has all the talent in the world and it is completely offset by an inconsistent work ethic, and very questionable choices.

Dude needs someone he trusts and respects to tell him the truth.

He is a waste of skin right now and if he continues down this path it will end in jail or death.

I suspect a substance abuse problem.
