Who will the ufc Replace comier with ?
Apparently, they have offered Rumble the fight. If true, seems to be the correct choice as these two were supposed to fight before Jones' hit and run.

If it is Johnson then that is great. Yesterday I was listening to the radio and they said it would not be Johnson.

Dana did ask Jones people to delete a tweet that Johnson vs. Jones is on for UFC 197 and that is what I was referring to. Everything is just speculation at this point.

Actually you are wrong (AGAIN I might add) Jones will be fighting Saint Preux at UFC 197 and not Anthony Johnson like you were so sure of happening after i said that Dana was reported to say that it would not be Johnson. You must feel so dumb once again. This is old hat for you though. It goes right through you like water.

Looks like rumors.

OSP... which stinks.

One thing I find odd, is why the UFC still number their fights like that..... It made sense at
The beginning when the event was new and there was always just one winner..... But now as its a standard 1 on 1 fight card it doesn't. When will they stop? At UFC 3,000?

Dana got asked that on a talk show in Canada and he got kind of upset. I do not mind it actually and it let's the UFC set up big cards and events for all 00's and 50's that come along.

Absolutely. Hard to believe as good as Gus is, he's lost 3 of his last 4. But, they were against the best.

No I didn't. I generally don't go in for online PPVs. I would really like for an organization to form a nice middle ground between the ultra-restrictive IBJJF rules and sub-only rules which result in endless draws and some occasionally sloppy jiujitsu.

Hard too see Jones v OSP being anything other than a cakewalk. Good thing the rest of the card is solid.
Maybe these guys should change up their training regimens. This is happening way too often

You should be able to catch the fights online at some point if you don't fancy the PPV.

Shields ran through Azagarm, doing everything but submitting him. Even threw in a few stockton slaps after AJ pushed him. Good fight, and highlighted just how good Shields is. AJ is a dick, too.

Tonon - Palhares was amazing. The balls on Tonon. At times Toquinho manhandled him, but Tonon got the better of most exchanges.... relentlessly being the aggressor chasing leg and footlocks, and taking Palhares' back a couple of times.

Geo Martinez was a fairly inactive draw against Luis Tosta, who you'd have expected him to beat. Gezary Matuda did everything but manage the sub against her opponent who was happy to defend for the draw for 15mins. Miyao played top game, which was weird. A few good undercard fights, but a lot of matches where one player was happy to close down and not get beat. Grippo's fight was boring as sin.

Agree re: the rulesets... EBI seems a better format, there needs to be something to encourage fighters taking more risks.

2 headliners well worth a watch though.

Ferguson/Khabib is off.

Ironically, it's Tony who pulled out due to injury. Poor Khabib. The guy is finally healthy enough to fight and his opponent gets injured. If they can't find a replacement for Tony, Dos Santos/Rothwell will be the main event.

Think you've got two events mixed up IP.
Rothwell v Dos Santos is this Sunday afternoon at two on FS1, while Khabib v Ferguson was supposed to be next Sat. night on FOX.
Unfortunately, now Rashad Evans v Glover T is the new main event & rather than finding a replacement opponent for Khabib, they've pulled him from the card. Which REALLY sucks IMO. I'm actually a wee bit pissed about it.
OK, so Ferguson obviously can't go with blood/fluid in his lungs, but seeing as how Khabib is healthy enough to fight for the first time in two years, they should have booked a fight for him. Surely they could have found someone at '55 willing to step in against him on two weeks notice. Hell, I'll bet "Cowboy" would have stepped in for the right $$$.
They could have still bumped Evans v Teixeira up to the main event & just had Khabib fight a replacement in a 3 rounder.
Oh well, hopefully Khabib v Ferguson gets rescheduled quickly or he gets a title shot as Dos Anjos's foot should be healed by now.

As for Evans v Teixeira, I'll be cheering on my fellow Niagara Falls native, but I have a feeling that his best days are long behind him & I think the Brazilian might just stop him sometime in the last two rounds.

:salut: Did get them mixed up.

Last I read is that they were still looking for a replacement. Hope they find one.

Definitely sucks either way. I was really looking forward to this fight.

Who is gonna want to fight Khabib on 10 days notice? Maybe Cerrone would have been crazy enough but he's at 170 now with a fight against Cote coming up.
