Technique-wise, comeback Foreman was massively improved from his younger days. He became much more intelligent and developed a much cleaner, sharper jab. Just think, if he would've had that technique when he was younger, how unstoppable he would have become.

He was certainly more relaxed... His style was more controlled and focused. He was still immensely strong and powerful. The Early George had the spirit of youth, that enthusiasm. I feel he always had a good jab. I cite the first Frazier fight where he used it very effectively.
The comeback George I view as a slower, more controlled version of the 'gil clancy Foreman '; where gil tried to focus on the jab and tried to shorten Foreman's swinging punches. You notice the Foreman matches post Zaire lasted longer than the earlier efforts..
I never thought that George had low stamina. Most fighters that threw that many punches with that much force would be blowing hard after a few rounds..

Yeah, the short, snapping strikes made a big difference. Teddy Atlas noticed how the mature Foreman then used those short lefts to hide that power right. Foreman stopped being so obvious and wasting his punches like against Ali. Foreman could've complained about drugging all he wanted but he just wasted so many punches against Ali. He practically knocked himself out. It wasn't called rope-a-dope for nothing. Against Frazier, Foreman seemed more power/pressure oriented. Frazier got overwhelmed and failed to adjust. From then on, Foreman just blitzed him with power shots. Frazier didn't see the weakness that Ali saw.
