Ben Doughty rip off merchant?

Just heard a guy who use to run a very solid Facebook boxing page called Ben Doughty has ripped a number of boxing fans of for thousands of pounds, for tickets for the GGG v Brook fight last night.

He had disappeared from his usual buzzing media page and makes me wonder if it is actually correct, the guys who have most out seem pretty convinced he has done a runner with there hard earned cash!

Has anyone heard about this ?

I've heard he did a lot of people over for a dinner show recently...

Go on his Facebook page and go to the post Ohara Davies made about it, scroll through the comments and you will find a video of someone who handed over money for 15 tickets( or something like that). He said he was going to turn up to an event that Ben doughty was putting on the next day but the event got pulled so not sure what's happened

I'm not standing up for ben Ben Doughty or condemning him either, I hardly know the bloke. The page that seems to have nicked the money doesn't look genuine. Is there any evidence that it was actually him that took the payments? It would be an unbelievably short-sited scam if he did this.

No its defo him mate a few mad people have done ben doughty copycat pages afterwards giving people grief etc for a supposed laugh after but the people on there were defo in contact with him before and after its a sad situation

I just watched both Spencer Fearon’s and Matt Hamilton’s videos about this episode. Shameful stuff.

For a guy that invested so much of his time, energy and ego into trying to be a “boxing doyen” and respected by “hardcore boxing fans” on Facebook it is inconceivable that he would fornicate himself over like this.

Then again I doubt any of his get-rich-off-boxing schemes like the Hall of Fame or the boxing tours ever landed him with as much as sixty large on his lap so he’s probably never had this level of temptation.

Some sad stories coming out about the people that have been left with their pants down. No way ever back for him from this I don’t think.
