Povetkin vs Stiverne was nothing to get excited about in the first place. I could give a sh*t less if it gets called off.
There's indeed not much to get exited about.
Povetkin will dominate Stiverne so easely, it would probably only proof what kind of a joke Wilder is, that's all.

Just remember if he struggles with Stiverne or if it is even remotely close, he can kiss his shot at Wilder goodbye. :OhYes:

Andy Ruiz Jr. only chose to withdraw from the Hughie Fury bout, because he preferred to challenge for the vacant WBO world heavyweight title instead against Joseph Parker.

It wasn't a secret, this forum was talking about this situation in detail several weeks prior to the WBO officially sanctioning the Ruiz Jr.-Parker world heavyweight championship bout.

Ruiz pulls out of fights regularly because he doesn't want to box. I imagine he'll take his beating here and call it a day, but speculating he won't fight is far from off base.

If he struggles that would make Wilder want to fight him more. Wilder wants no challenge in his challengers.

It you take a look at the context of everything that has recently transpired, you’d have to be utterly moronic to speculate that Andy Ruiz Jr. withdrew from the Hughie Fury fight out of pure fear, when all the evidence clearly indicates the fact that he had a better option instead, which was to challenge for vacant WBO World Heavyweight title:

• 12th September – It was announced that Tyson Fury would have to face random drug tests as part of the terms of the Klitschko bout
• 21st September – Eddie Hearn (Anthony Joshua’s promoter) tells the media he doesn’t believe the Fury-Klitschko rematch would happen… claiming that everybody involved in the sport knew this wasn’t a secret
• 21st September - Andy Ruiz Jr. withdraws from the Hughie Fury fight
• 23rd September – Tyson Fury postpones the Klitschko rematch, due to being regarded as “medically unfit”
• 24th September – Talks of the possibility of an Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko fight emerge
• 25th September – Tyson Fury refuses drug testing administered by UKAD
• 26th September – The BoxRec forum speculates that Andy Ruiz Jr. probably withdrew from the Hughie Fury fight to challenge for the vacant WBO heavyweight title against Joseph Parker
• 28th September – Widespread speculation from the media about the possibility of Andy Ruiz Jr. challenging Joseph Parker for the vacant WBO world heavyweight title
• 30th September – Tyson Fury tests positive for cocaine
• October 2nd - Ruiz Jr. and Parker agree to fight on the 10th December
• October 13th – Tyson Fury vacates his WBO title
• October 20th – The WBO officially order Ruiz Jr. and Parker to fight for their vacant heavyweight title

Are you seriously suggesting that Andy Ruiz Jr’s decision to withdraw from the Hughie Fury bout had nothing at all to do with him gaining a shot at the WBO World Heavyweight title?

I thought he would have retired after Fury beat him. His body is giving up on him.

His calf seems to be a bit suspect. Didn't he injure it before the Fury fight as well.

If Povetkin struggles with Stiverne -> Wilder won't fight him, according to you.
If Povetkin doesn't struggle with Stiverne -> Wilder REALLY won't fight him.
If Povetkin doesn't fight Stiverne -> Wilder probably won't fight him.
If Povetkin had never been born -> Wilder wouldn't fight him.
If Wilder was order to fight Povetkin -> Wilder wouldn't fight him.

Wilder probably got the most silly fanbase in the entire history of heavyweight boxing.
David Haye coming quite close behind.

Can someone close the heavyweight division down? :brick:

It's arguably the most frustrating it has been in 30+ years!

Actually you're absolutely right! Wasn't the original Klitchko - Fury fight put back while Klitchko attended to a calf injury?
