I didn't know much about Ward outside of the ring. WOW !!! He is boring outside of the ring even more than inside. Now I understand why he seems so uptight.

Yes he needs to get drunk and throw some cash at strippers. Maybe a bender with Tyson Fury. Maybe assault somebody. Maybe do a bid. Then the PPV buys and adoration would really flow in!

One reason I don't like Ward is because I feel like all his god fearing son of god crap is just that, a load of crap. I think his style is ugly but extremely effective, similar to Floyd, I just cringe whenever he's praising god or some such straight after a fight that's he's been dropping in elbow strikes that wouldn't be out of place in a Muay Thai fight.

I think his lack of quality opposition is going to come back to bite him on the ass this time, I was impressed with how he dominated Froch with relative ease but I think he's finally come up against a man he won't be able to bully. A dude who has Hopkins literally running away is a scary prospect, regardless of Hopkins age.

My heart is with Kovalev tonight but I still completely agree with you here. Not with the racism accusation but the fact that Ward is getting unfair criticism. Ward is the best role model boxing has right now but for some reason, people just do not like him. Even before his layoff, he's had trouble selling tickets. He should be much bigger than he is right now. But this guy wouldn't talk about his family's drug issues for years until recently and now people are calling him a crybaby. Thats ridiculous.
