This will be decide on whether Kovalev can land the right counter effectively. Ward is one handed fighter, nearly all his attack is done by left hand and Kovalevs best shot is right handed counter over that left. Of course Ward is very tricky and a hard man to land on. But he need to get inside and has to take chances getting in. We will see from the early on if Kova is landing right hand consistently he will negate Wards offense like he did with Bernard he will win. If not and Ward can make it a scrappy affair, part wrestling, part running then he wins. My prediction Kova by points.

Typical - I made up my mind to pull an all-nighter and I'm knackered already, it's not even 10 o'clock ffs. Chinese takeaway just arrived, so think I'll also be having a power nap straight afterwards.

I'm off the Codeine mate. Now I'm on Tramadol, Gabapentin and a new one called Lyrica. Mrs Hangover has gone on the wagon and it's only day 2, so if I crack open a bottle, it'll be WW3.

It is a lovely combo under the right circumstances.

Just not these circumstances.

im just glad I'm single right now. having to navigate some bitch putting the kibosh on the boxing/getting dragged along to a wedding on this night would be unfathomable. good job getting out of it.

jesus. it says a lot about how boxing has gone down the shitter that I can't even remember the last time i got a big fight feeling like this.

Its a good question. Personally any given marquez-Pac fight was bigger but that's probably only due to my Marquez-love.

A fight with two dudes both really high p4p, at or near peak, same division, fornicate, its been ages. I'm probably too stoned to answer. I'm sure there's been one since DLH-Mosley but thats the last one comes to mind that ticks all those boxes.

What about Mayweather-Hatton? Both very high P4P and close to primes. I was convinced Mayweather was gonna win, kind of how I feel about Ward tonight. If I'm wrong, I'll admit to the BoxRec world that you know more about boxing than me.
