He beat Jason Sosa. That fight wasn't a draw.

I thought he won a very close fight. Sometimes you need to watch fights with the sound off. The announcers are awful.

I think Walters beat Sosa 7-3.

I like Loma here, but it's far from a sure thing.

If you're not an idiot you can score it right in spite of what the commentators say. I'm not easily lead personally.

Astounding that there is a degree of nerd that rewatches fights with the sound off to curb their own bias and have an official card to argue with other nerds. I get it with tanzio, he brags about being objective because he has a mail order bride. The rest of you need to get a life.

How do you think the fight plays out? Does Walters break him down from the start? Land a big shot out of nowhere?

Loma hasnt shown chin problems and his D is good, so I don't see Walters taking him out that early. Even little Donaire, who stood and traded with Walters, lasted longer, and his last 2 opponents went the distance. If Walters wins, and IMO there's roughly a 40 prrcent chance of that, I think it's more likely a distance fight in which his strength and agression have put Loma into a shell.

And he didn't lose to Salido. He was dirty robbed by the referee and by judges.

You must have missed the article when Lomo said the decision was fair and he blamed himself.

I think Lomo vs Walters will be a great fight, and lean towards Lomo by decision. Walters is better than Salido, but Lomo has improved a lot since then too.
I don't care what Vasyl said about this. I saw that fight and I told you about my opinion.

It wasn't a great fight, it was great robbery in onesided fight. I can't understand how somebody can compare that robbery with future great fight against Walters.

FWIW I see this as being fairly competitive early, until fatigue blunts the impact of Walters' power, from missing shots. I've got it a 116-112/ 117-111 type win.

Not one post here about how unfair it was that Loma received title fights undeservedly. Some idiots are already calling him the best ever. Give me a break. This forum has gone down hill. Loma is good, ok. I get it it. Let the guy build a resume first before we classify whatever he is historically. But when you do place him in a historical spot, please take into account how the title shots were pathetically handed to him while other fighters may go a whole career without getting one. Pathetic.

One of the most popular thing on this forum is surely how a boxer is overrated by a win over Donaire. Walters is a good fighter but certainly no superstar level. Lomachenko is a true elite fighter and is progression has been incredible. I see a fight where we will have the first four round evenly match and then Vasyl will win 7 of the last 8.

The thing with the Nonito and Vic wins is that those guys were so undersized compared to Walters, yet they stood right in front of him. Nonito isn't even big for 122, while Vic is small for anything above 118.

To me the Marriaga and Sosa fights are better to go by, and though Walters still showed himself to be a top fighter his power had much less of an impact.

Bottom line, tough fight for loma. I think he will pull it out, but I could see him getting caught and dropped before boxing his way to a close decision. I am going with loma 115-112.
Gary Russell jnr is a pretty decent fighter.

Sources say Nicholas Walters made weight well, was eating the whole week, didn't drain himself to make 130 #boxing

Imo Lomachenko is the most complete fighter in the game by far. He is gonna destroy Walters imo but this is boxing and Walters can crack

114-113 Ward again.

Ward outboxed Krusher, out jabbed, did better body work, controlled distance and closed stronger.

People who think this was a robbery are in fantasyland. People denigrating Ward's skills and gifts are blind.

Lederman should be put out to pasture.

That was a great fight with great fighters that could have gone either way. The judges by competence, corruptness, or ineptitude got it right, imo.

With the exception that I don't remember being swayed toward ward in the third, I think that's a totally solid scorecard.

I have to admit that I am hoping for as good a fight as last week. Would not hurt my feelings if Walters stopped Loma or vice versa.

I'm not scoring as Walters has no chance of a decision. No one does in this division after VL. You either get him outta there or you lose.
